Utilisation of cultural specifics in the town Žatec in tourism / project Hop and Beer Temple

The thesis is studying the utilization of cultural potential and of hop tradition in city of Žatec on the example of Hop and Beer Temple project. The work provides basic theoretical information on tourism, which is connected with region and project. It focuses on the specifics and problems of tourism throughout the Usti region. In addition, it provides an overview of the development and current situation of tourism in the city itself. Part of the work is devoted to the cultural potential of Žatec in terms of tangible and intangible culture development and its hop history. Specifically, the work focuses on the possible uses of cultural and industrial heritage in tourism on the example of Hop and Beer Temple. It assesses the socio-economic benefits for the city, same as the obstacles that stand in its development. The final section also indicates the potential opportunities for further development of the city and the region.
Richard Florida's Creative Class theory

The aim of the thesis is to introduce Richard Florida's Creative Class theory and the way we measure the Creativity Index or the indicator of creative environment and urban or region development potential. The thesis concerns creativity as a factor of the progress of society in the course of history and as well evaluates the approach to creativity today. Florida's theory is examined and some possible imperfections that can occur while measuring the Creativity Index are shown. Both academic and non-academic critiques on the subject are discussed.
Mapping culture preferences of Klatovy

Research of motivation, values and other factors which influence preferences and consumption behaviour in the culture sector is standard practice in the developed countries. This bachelor thesis focuses on introducing several methods that have been used for the research in different countries. The practical part suggests a method which could be used for this kind of research in the area of Klatovy and the villages belonging to the power of this municipality. There have been developed statistical techniques used for measuring the relevance of the factors which influence the consumption behaviour in culture and arts. This might be significantly important not only for the cultural organisations and efficient decision making but also for the municipalities and the transparent redistributing of financial sources in this sector.
Urban development of Hradec Králové

This Bachelor's Thesis analyzes modern urban development of Hradec Králové. Thesis is based on literature and information from available sources, which evaluate development of the city and its current trends. A large part is devoted to the winning proposals of the latest urban competition in 2010 and is based on the opinions of local experts and stakeholders. Hradec Králové is an economic and cultural centre of the whole region. The city offers a high quality living environment with plenty of places for leisure time activities. The main objective is to find cultural and historical context that resulted in a unique structure of today's Hradec Králové. Earned knowledge of urban development will be summarized and evaluated into conclusion of the Bachelor's Thesis.
FILM DISTRIBUTION COMPANY AEROFILMS: CASE STUDY

This bachelor thesis describes the field of film distribution that forms one of the three fundamental parts of the film industry. It sets this theme in a broader context, both historical and legislative. Independent and commercial tendencies are delicately yet firmly distinguished within the Czech film distribution itself. The practical part of the thesis presents a detailed profile of the Czech film distribution company Aerofilms. Final chapters focus on ongoing trends, especially phenomenon of audiovisual industry digitization. Last but not least, it targets a current threat of a rampant film piracy.
Museum of shoes and stones in Skutec and Development

Bachelor thesis is devoted to description of museum activities and determination of their present value for the public. The goals of this work include the definition of basic concepts, characterization of museums in the Czech Republic and Western Europe. Part of this theoretical part describes the present state of museums in the Czech Republic and their attendance. In the case study I focus on the successful renovation of theMuseum of shoes and stones in Skutec which managed to build a unique tourism attraction and helped to create a new exhibitions devoted shoemaking-trade and stonework characteristic for this area. Attendance has increased at the museum of Skutec and the museum was awarded a special prize in the competition Gloria Musaealis 2009.
Sponsorship of art / Sponsorships and Art Banking of UniCredit Bank

This thesis deals with sponsorship of art especially focused on sponsoring and Art Banking at UniCredit Bank. The work contains sponsorship description, types and explanations of basic concepts, it describes the practice of sponsorships at UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and a description of a service at UniCredit Bank called Art Banking. The aim of the work is an empirical research to determine how respondents have preferences for which cultural institutions and cultural events, and make an evaluation based on results of the research to design an optimal target group of sponsorship. The used methodology to achieve the objective includes the definition of terms, the description of cultural sponsorship in UniCredit, compiling a questionnaire, circulation of questionnaires to statistically adequate samples of the population, processing and analyzing results and preparation of the final proposal.
Social and economic aspects of hip hop subculture

The thesis examines the origin and evolution of hip-hop subculture and its involvement in society as well as relation to creative industries. Economic side of the whole phenomena is important part of the thesis. The work is based on available literature in the Czech and foreign sources. Its aim is to demonstrate both direct and side effects of culture on economy while describing examples of hip hop connection to the market in the first years of its rise as well as in the recent years. The thesis is not determined only by African American hip hop subculture, but also by the current global and overlapping functions in the contemporary world and Czech society.
Funding and fundraising of musical festivals

The bachelor thesis deals with fundraising and funding ways in non-profit cultural projects. The theoretical part defines non-profit sector, fundraising and describes fundrising methods. The practical part introduces three examples of music festivals which focus on classical and early music -- Struny podzimu, Svatováclavské slavnosti and Letní slavnosti staré hudby, which have a legal form of profit company. There are described fundraising methods and their operation in practice. The last part includes total conclusion and assessment how much a legal form of organization has the effect on fundraising and funding.
The Financing Options and the Sustainability of an Amateur Theatre´s Operation on the Example of the Kámen Theatre in Prague

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of the theatre funding from public and private sources. It is mainly focused on the cultural policy in the Czech Republic as well as in Prague and within the related grant programmes. Some specifics of marketing in the non-profit sector are also analysed and so-called marketing mix is described in detail. The practical part is a case study of the Kámen Theatre. It describes its history and especially its economic management. An example of its marketing mix demonstrates how a theatre raises the demand. The actual stage of the ensemble is described by means of the SWOT analysis. The thesis concludes no virtual difference between the funding of the amateur and the professional theatres. The Kámen Theatre is implied to be currently on its peak where it will be able to stand for a long time on but from such a level it will hardly go on in the future.
