Hyperbranched Polyimide End-Capped with (+) or (-) – Isopinocampheylamine Used for Racemic Mixture Separation
Sysel, P. ; Vychodilová, Hana ; Červenková Šťastná, Lucie ; Žitka, Jan ; Brožová, Libuše ; Randová, A. ; Hovorka, Š. ; Izák, Pavel
In this work, the hyperbranched polyimides terminated with (+) or (-) – isopinocampheylamine were prepared and characterized. Their ability to separate of racemic mixtures of α-pinenes was also evaluated.
Selective Enantiomer Separation by Pertraction
Izák, Pavel ; Kačírková, Marie ; Vychodilová, Hana ; Červenková Šťastná, Lucie ; Žitka, Jan ; Brožová, Libuše ; Storch, Jan ; Randová, A. ; Hovorka, Š.
Membrane processes are not commonly used in enantiomer separation due to insufficiency explication of separation mechanisms and because the results of chiral membrane separation are not quite satisfying, especially in comparison with other separation technics, namely HPLC. A new method for selective separation of enantiomers by membrane processes taking advantage of ionic liquids is present. The supported chiral room temperature ionic liquid membrane is used for separation of enantiomers. Volatile enantiomers are separated by pervaporation and non-volatile enantiomers by pertraction.
Vliv obsahu iontových kapalin na vlastnosti neporézních polymerních membrán
Kohoutová, Marie ; Sikora, Antonín ; Hovorka, Š. ; Randová, A. ; Schauer, Jan ; Izák, Pavel
The polydimethylsiloxane membranes containing 0, 10, 20 or 30 wt. % of ionic liquid (benzyl-3-butylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate) were used for separation of butan-1-ol from water. Pervaporation selectivity increased and the butan-1-ol flux through the membrane raised with the increased content of [BBIM][BF4] in the PDMS-[BBIM][BF4] membranes. The PDMS-[BBIM][BF4] membrane showed high stability as well as selectivity (the separation factor raised up to 37, if 30 weight % of ionic liquid was accommodated in PDMS) during all experiments.
Receivers for CDMA systems
Hovorka, Ladislav ; Šimša, Jan
In the contribution the optimum and suboptimum methods of code division multiple access (CDMA) multiuser detectors (MUD) are summarised. The need of estimation of codes timings and amplitudes of individual users are discussed.
Mechanismus působení polymerních léčiv na bázi HPMA
Hovorka, Ondřej ; Strohalm, Jiří ; Bouček, Jan ; Etrych, Tomáš ; Šubr, Vladimír ; Ulbrich, Karel ; Říhová, Blanka
However cytostatic polymeric conjugates based on N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide are in clinical trials, we are still far away from understanding the mechanism of their action. Cleavability of the drug from oligopeptidic side-chains of polymeric carriers seems not to be necessary condition for pharmacological activity and those spacers play most probably a very important role in the accumulation of conjugates in tumor cells.
