Cistercian monastery in Osek in 18. and 19. century
Recorder - from didactics problems to development of creativity
Hurníková, Kateřina
This thesis is oriented to teaching recorder playing as well as recorder role on musicians training on elementary and secondary schools. I am interested in the issue both as being interpret as well as educationalist. Recorder is widely used and popular on every type of school. It is being used even on healing respiratory disorders. However, teaching of recorder faces many problems. Outdated textbooks containing erroneous statements or poor qualified teachers underestimating lessons and without interesting in its own skills improving, to count some of them. Deeply surveying these facts I found out that teaching may have certain level but what is almost completely missing is creativity. And it is creativity which is meaningful for instrument skills as well as complete personality development. I proposed and formed creativity development exercises and arranged it to three groups: 1. Breathing 2. Articulation 3. Fingering Implementation of some exercises is clear and other are provided by music sheets. The teacher and pupils are not expected to practice it verbally, it can be used as patterns for own teacher's creativity, instead. It's efficiency was proved by my own practice and many teachers is interested into it now. Complying to my original ideas they are modifying it for their specific needs. Our...

Comparative analysis of the interpretation with an emphasis on historical context and authenticity of performance art: an analysis of the implementation of various works of Claudio Monteverdi's "della Beata Vergine Vespri" (1610).
Svoboda, Čeněk ; Kittnarová, Olga (advisor) ; Hurníková, Kateřina (referee)
In my dissertation I'm working at the work of art made by Claudio Monteverdi (1567 - 1643) and also comparing three different interpretations of his masterpiece Vespro delta beata Vergine. He wrote this composition in 1610 and so came to a new quality not only for himself and his musical progress, but also for whole musical history. We can say that his Vespro is the first important sacred baroque composition. The comparing is not the only intention for me, I would like to discribe also composers personality in context of musical history and answer some principal question about the problem of "the autentic interpretation". Lanškroun - Musical Traditions
Havlíčková, Jaroslava ; Pecháček, Stanislav (advisor) ; Hurníková, Kateřina (referee)
The diploma paper presented concerns .. Music Traditions of the Lanskroun Region". In the first part it is aimed at introducing the town of Lanskroun and its neighbouring villages together fonning the above mentioned region. The town of Lanskroun is rich in history, significant places, historic sites and personalities. But this is barely all. Its music-related history reaches back as far as to the fourteenth century. However, not much has been left from this time as for the musical repositories and collections. The development of music was similar to that of other surrounding towns, though bearing its own specific features, because it took place in the multicultural Hrebecsko region. The music of the seventeenth century is mostly connected with the St. Vitus Church in Lanskroun. The following two centuries were marked by a tremendous lack of written testimonials about any local music activities. It is only said that the members of the Erxleben family were enthusiastic admirers of music. Namely, it was their nephew Karel Langer who established a society for singing, music and theatre. Owing to this act many operas of cardinal importance could take place at the local Stfelnice stage. Further, the attention is focused on contemporary chorales, musical bodies and groups which the town of Lanskroun...
