Skřivánek, Jan ; Bencalík, Karol (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
This thesis studies the design of an electro-hydraulic landing gear and brakes control system of a trainer aeroplane. In the first part there is a basic draft of the landing gear kinematics and its loads during gear retraction, flight and landing. Braking conditions are also analysed. The thesis then focuses on the design of hydraulic circuits and their control. Simulations for studying the dynamic characteristics of the braking proportional valve and the course of plane braking were created in Simulink. There is also a brief section about reliability of the proposed system.
Measurement of parameters of the aircraft hydraulic systems
Bareš, Josef ; Třetina, Karel (referee) ; Bencalík, Karol (advisor)
This thesis summarizes current knowledge of the parameters of hydraulic systems of aircraft. Attention is paid in particular to the continuity of information and the introduction of the reader to the parameters of hydraulic systems issue and the procedures for their measurement. In the introduction the thesis deals with the properties of hydraulic fluids and their influence on the operation of hydraulic systems. Subsequently methods and instruments that are used for laboratory measurement of the parameters of hydraulic fluid are described. Furthermore, the thesis moves on to the topic of hydraulic systems for aircraft, individual hydraulic devices and fluids that are used in the air and for general operation of hydraulic systems. At the end of the thesis a balance sheet is prepared over the selection of suitable laboratory equipment for the measurement of hydraulic fluid parameters.
Aircraft de-icing systems
Smékal, Aleš ; Bencalík, Karol (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is familiarization of me with icing on aircrafts. It includes the distribution systems for anti-icing and de-icing, energy intensity and efficiency are also included. It contains icing situations, which are very dangerous for aircrafts. Thesis shows possibilities, how to prevent ice formation, detect icing and keep pilot informed. And finally remove ice.
Extension of Centrifugal Compressor Operational Stability
Růžička, Miroslav ; Třetina, Karel (referee) ; Kmoch, Petr (referee) ; Klement, Josef (advisor)
Centrifugal compressors with high pressure ratio are widely used in small aircraft turbine engines and turbocharges. At high rotational speeds they have narrow stable operating region and commonly used impellers with back swept blades are not able to ensure requested stability. In order to achieve wider stable operating region, some other anti-surge measures can be used, such as an Internal Recirculation Channel (IRC) located in compressor impeller inlet. This thesis deals with an investigation of IRC influence on centrifugal compressor operational parameters. As a first, the various recirculation channel geometry was studied by using of CFD analysis on simplified computational models. Those geometry, which indicated best results in terms of mass flow and looses in channel were used for testing on a model test device. Subsequently the same geometry was tested on real centrifugal compressor in experimental turbine engine to verify influence of IRC on compressor performance map – pressure ratio and efficiency. Simultaneously the CFD analyses of IRC with a 3D model of compressor impeller were performed and results compared with those, gained from measurement on model and compressor. In addition the measurement of flow field downstream the recirculation channel outlet slot with using of 3-hole pressure probe was performed and compared with flow velocity profiles evaluated from numerical simulations.
Aircraft Braking Systems
Kochtík, Martin ; Kaddour, Mirvat (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The main theme of my work is braking and function of brake systems when aircraft moving on the ground after landing until its complete cessation. In this work are explain the basic definitions and principles of braking systems for transport aircraft. Proceed the explanation of regulations and basic requirements that must be observed. And also there is analyzed the above-mentioned part of aircraft motion on the runway. There is described the principles of obstruction of the kinetic energy and their calculation method in a theoretical point of view and after that, there are described specific calculations of landing speeds for the selected aircrafts. Attention is also paid to the possibilities of using energy produced by airplane braking wheels and overall directions of further progress on the brake system for these transport airplanes.
Optimization of Hydraulic System and its Components for Commuter Category Airplanes
Kameník, Luboš ; Rousek, Miroslav (referee) ; Hlinka, Jiří (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deals with optimization of the selected areas of the hydraulic system for small and medium transport aircrafts. Newly developed small aircraft EV-55 is a representative in the category of the small aircrafts . The selected areas of the hydraulic systems , important and useful for domestic producers of the hydraulic devices and whole hydraulic systems for the airplane EV-55 , are subjected to optimization efforts in the dissertation thesis. Design parameters of the hydraulic system (type of hydraulic source, level of pressure, weight of connecting tube), hydraulic devices ( tribology, machining process), simulation of the servomechanism and areas of diagnostic of technical status of the hydraulic system are optimized in the dissertation thesis.
Parachute Emergency Systems for Very Light Sport Planes
Šorf, Oldřich ; Salga, Jaroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Vladimír (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
This PhD thesis describes parachute rescue systems for small planes and focuses on their functionality in the border areas of the flight envelope, especially at very low altitudes and low airspeeds of flight (fall). For extending the functionality of the rescue system in extreme areas of usability envelope, was founded an innovative dividable parachute slider, which works normally at high speed, but at the low airspeeds does not limit the opening time of the canopy. Structural design of this slider is the subject of a new patent application “Parachute opening speed regulation device”, filed with Industrial property Office in Prague on August 14, 2014 under number 2014-543 PV. The PhD thesis further contains computational principle of circular parachute opening and the structural design. For verification of the dividable slider functionality, a parachute model has been constructed and subjected to a series of drop tests. The main benefit of the PhD thesis is extending the usability of rescue system into its statistically most frequent use, i.e. into low altitudes and low airspeeds of flight (fall).
Proposal of electro-hydraulic control system for the nose gear of small transport aircraft
Vodička, Petr ; Janhuba, Luboš (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on design of electrohydraulic system for nose gear control on small civil airliners. First part consists of brief review of small civil airliners, nose gears and CS 23 restrictions relevant for the design. In practical part a typical small civil airliner is defined and kinematic of landing gear mechanisms is designed. Then the electrohydraulic system itself is designed and parameters of some components are suggested. The wheel steering mechanism is simulated and, in conclusion, the whole system is evaluated.
ALTERNATIVE PROPULSION FOR AIRCRAFT OF GENERAL AVIATION CATEGORY
U každého z nich bude uvedeno výhody a nevýhody, hlavní změnu pohon letadla nebo výfukového systému a různé výkonnosti letadla v důsledku těchto změn.
