Peer-To-Peer Web File Sharing in a Group

The diploma thesis deals with file sharing among users through peer-to-peer transfer in a web environment. The aim was to create a simple application which would provide a group of users with an opportunity to share files among them without any presence of third party or limitation. I have met the target using modern web technologies, of which the most important was WebRTC library through which peer-to-peer transfer has been implemented. These technologies were supported by optimased algorithm and the most recent tools for processing and storage of shared files. The result is a real-time application enabling users to create rooms, in which they can share their files. This product was subjected to speed tests, thanks to which the application turned out to be the fastest in the tested environment contrary to solutions with similar nature or any other commonly used tools for file sharing.

Tool for Immediate Subtitles in Running Lecture

This thesis deals with solving problems of Alfons consulting center, specifically of their simultaneous transcript service for the hearing-impaired students. Thanks to my regular attendance in the consulting center, I analyzed the problem and designed an app solution that I then programmed. The goal of this app is to receive a text from people realizing the simultaneous transcript and give it to students in the most suitable form which they can use along with the speaker's video projection. The conclusion of the thesis shows the evaluation of my analysis after trying the app in lessons with deaf students.

TOWNHOUSE ON THE WATERFRONT IN PŘEROV

Design of the town house in Přerov is created with respect to buildings in the immediate vicinity or the general character of the whole city and urban waterfront. The house is mainly for local people, not just an attraction. Considering the utilization the building offers less than four floors of residential space and administrative space. In back part of the plot and parterre area there is place for city amenities. The concept aimed to create a building that is first of all fully operational, with a predetermined program for local residents. House observes the street line and composition responds to the buildings in its vicinity. The arris of the house has the height accent but it does not contrasty exceed the surrounding buildings.

The main idea of project is plan of cultural and educational centre on the waterfront of Prerov. The Object is divided into 2 part: KAVC (public) and flats (private). Principal intention of Cultural and educational centre is to encourage local people to make the widest possible use of the facilities provided; a person who starts off by browsing in the audio visual section might decide to accompany their child to the library, or perhaps sign up for a life long learning class.

Vědecký přístup k procesu reurbanizace v Lipsku

Město Lipsko leží v oblasti bývalé NDR, která jako celek prošla od roku 1989 poměrně dramatickým demografickým vývojem. Stejně tak jako celá oblast i samotné město se muselo naučit vyrovnávat se s dramatickými změnami, jež nastaly po roce 1989. Tyto změny se dotkly jak ekonomické stránky města tak samotné struktury obyvatelstva. Lipsko může být považováno za jeden z typických příkladů postindustriálního města. Rozsah změn v ekonomice, jejich intenzita rychlost a reakce samotného města na ně může být zajímavým příkladem postupu transformace v těchto typech měst a managementu rozvoje postindustriálního území obecně. Přístup k obnově města Lipska by se dal popsat jako zdařilý koncept reurbanizace. Reurbanizaci je také věnována podstatná část programů města a výzkumů s nimi spojených.

Trvale udržitelný rozvoj ve vztahu k revitalizaci postindustriálního území

Trvale udržitelný rozvoj se stal v poslední době novým fenoménem, který se často vyskytuje ve všech možných souvislostech s lidskou činností. Není tomu jinak ani v oblasti stavebnictví a developmentu. Bohužel v současné době v České republice je tento pojem chápán jako prázdná fráze, či výlučně ekologické téma. Ve stavební praxi se často setkáváme s jeho volnou interpretaci jen do energetické spotřeby budovy. V oblasti urbanismu je tento termín spojován často s dokumentem Agenda 21, který je obsažen snad v každém strategickém plánu. Většinou však zde i také jakýkoli hmatatelný dopad do územně plánovací dokumentace končí. Ani v oblasti developmentu není tomu v naší republice jinak. Faktor trvale udržitelného rozvoje se nestal ani marketingovou výhodou pro zákazníky, ani ekonomickou výhodou pro developera. Avšak v řadě jiných zemí se termín „sustainability“ stal zcela běžným, často užívaným a srozumitelným výrazem, vyjadřujícím progresivní trendy rozvoje techniky, ekonomiky a společnosti se zřetelem na životní prostředí. V mnohých vyspělých zemích má trvale udržitelný rozvoj své exaktní vyjádření, které pak umožňuje jeho reálné uplatnění v běžném hospodářském životě. V neposlední řadě termín trvale udržitelného rozvoje je dnes často v západoevropských zemích užíván v souvislosti s dnešní probíhající světovou ekonomickou krizí, jako jeden z pilířů, jak napříště krizi předejít či alespoň zmírnit její důsledky.
