Semantic development of the common lexical basis of Czech, Slovenian and Russian languages

The object of the study is to follow and compare the development of the semantics of lexical units, which have the common Proto-Slavonic base and different meanings in modern languages. The development is studied within a time period ranging from the Proto-Slavonic period up to the modern language state. To cover all three representative groups of Slavic languages: West Slavic, East Slavic and South Slavic were selected the appropriate languages: Czech, Russian and Slovenian. The selection of lexical units is morphologically restricted. The research is focused on adjectives. The work contains theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part specifies terminology and presents a number views on the potential significance of the development of lexical units in terms of diachronic lexicology. The analysis is devoted to the development and is categorized as follows: each of the twelve selected semantic groups includes sections devoted to Proto-Slavonic, Old Church Slavonic, Russian, Czech and Slovenian languages. Each group is enclosed with a brief summary.
A contrastive approach to grammar teaching as the main component of Czech textbooks for Russian speakers

Diploma thesis A Contrastive Approach to Grammar Teaching as the Main Component of Czech Textbooks for Russian Speakers is focused on issues of creating texbooks for this target group. The work researches into a situation on the Czech texbook market, then analizes available publications of Czech for Russian speakers and dwells over creating Czech texbooks for foreigners. The main attention is concentrated on application of a contrastive approach in Czech grammar teaching. The author is also inquire into related topics, which are theoretical and practical issues of second Slavonic language teaching, interference as a main didactic problem. She presents a comparative review of Czech and Russian and investigates with possibilities of contrastive approach in processing grammar part of a texbook on the basis of the available publications for East Slavonic students.
Czech language islands in Ukraine

Cílem bakalářské práce je prezentovat problematiku českého osídlení na Ukrajině. Výběr tématu není náhodný, neboť sám pocházím z krajanské rodiny. Z širokého spektra otázek jsem se soustředil na historii vzniku krajanské komunity na Ukrajině, na její rozvoj a současný stav. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola uvádí všeobecné důvody českého vystěhovalectví v druhé polovině 19. století. Druhá kapitola prezentuje české osídlení na Ukrajině. Popisuje postup přestěhování a historii osídlení území nové vlasti a založení některých českých obcí. Obsahem třetí kapitoly je popis životního stylu českých přestěhovalců, jejich tradic a zvýků. V několika částech této kapitoly se prezentuje také otázka školství, reemigrace krajanů do jejich historické vlasti a charakteristika současné situace v krajanských komunitách na Ukrajině, především však na Krymu. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnována jazykové charakteristice české komunity na Ukrajině. Při shromažďování studijního materiálu jsem vycházel z několika odborných prací věnovaných této problematice, z menších studií v různých vědeckých sbornících, z novinových článků a z vlastních materiálů týkajících se života české krajanské komunity na Krymu. Comparative study of the social position of women in the Czech Republic and in Mongolia

This thesis deals with selected aspects of women's position in different cultures, in this case Czech and Mongolian. For their analytical evaluation, I have chosen the themes, especially concerning public and family life in the context of political and social development in both countries. In this context, the main subject of my thesis is, especially, an effort to know and understand the distinct role of women in the family, the possibility of her entry into active public life and the access to education.
Idioms with Animal Components in Czech and Chinese

This graduation thesis is dedicated to the animal phraseology in Czech and Chinese languages.The author focused on the analysis of animal idioms on the basis of the syntactical, formal and semantic aspects. She created an index of animal idioms in both languages on the basis of the relevant dictionaries - Slovník české frazeologie a idiomatiky 1. - 4. and Hanyu Chengyu Jinghua Cidian. Furthermore she made a mutual comparison of these idioms from both languages. The Czech National Corpus and Chinese Corpus were used as the main sources for the analysis.
Selected issued of verb presentation in textbooks of Czech language for foreigners

This dissertation has been written to meet the needs of chinese students, who decided to study Czech. In this dissertation we analyse the way, how to explain Czech verbs in nine books Czech for foreinger. We put our accent on conjugation of verbs, tenses, aspect and imperativ those four points . These four points are blended together and complement each other. Most important point, also the most difficult point is morphological -lexical object - aspect, which chinese students always take long time for its understanding. Another three points students wi l l master during their studying. After analys is, we made a summary and choose the best presentation, with our own experience we wrote model lessons, which contain only grammatical sections of the four points, but vocabulary, also texts are absented.
František Hrubín's poetry for children

This bachelor's thesis is about František Hrubín's poetry for children. There are his three collections: Říkejte si se mnou, Dvakrát sedm pohádek and Sviť, sluníčko, sviť. The first chapter deals with the development of Czech poetry for children until the mid-twentieth century, folk literature and especially folk poetry. The second chapter introduces us to Hrubín's life and his total works for children. From formal, thematic, rhythmical and verbal points of view are these three collections studied in the third chapter. Four selected poems are analyzed in the fourth chapter. František Hrubín belonged to the most important Czech writers in the twentieth century. Besides literature for adults Hrubín was devoted to poetry for children wholeheartedly. He is recognized as a great creator of modern poetry for children. A basis of his poetry is folk poetry - especially rhyme. His poetry is compositionally and thematically diverse. It is full of joy and hope.
Translation of Russian argot expressions into Czech (based on the translation of L. Dvořák's translation of S. Dovlatov's novel The Camp)

Tato práce je věnována specifickému jazykovému útvaru - argotu a problematice překládání argotické lexikální vrstvy mezi ruštinou a češtinou. V první části je stručně představen problém spojený s charakteristikou termínu argot a rovněž příbuzných pojmů žargon a slang. Jsou uvedeny definice různých autorů a některé slovníkové definice. Tato část je důležitá pro pochopení nejednoznačnosti ve vnímání termínu argot, a rovněž ve vnímaní charakteru tohoto jevu u různých autorů. Druhá kapitola je věnována některým aspektům historického vývoje argotu. Jsou uvedeny společné faktory mající vliv na vznik a vývoj argotu a jiných sociolektů jak v Evropě a v Čechách, tak v Rusku. Trochu podrobněji jsou popsány vývojové tendence ruských argotických útvarů před velkou říjnovou revolucí. Pro nastínění některých nejzávažnějších rozdílů v současném stavu argotických útvarů v českém a ruském prostředí podrobněji uvádím a snažím se přiblížit ty historické události v Rusku od roku 1917 až po konec komunistického období, které měly vliv i na jazykovou situaci v sovětském Rusku. Podstatné rozdíly ve vývoji argotu v obou zemích nespočívají jen v strukturních jazykových odlišnostech, ale tykají se především kulturně-sociálního kontextu a skutečných komunikačních situací. The Language Situation in the Originally Czech Communities in South Ukraine (esp. In Crimea and in Novgorodkovka)

Abstract. The work is analysing the language situation in Czech communities in Crimea and Novgorodovka village. Fieldwork data from those communities and archive material studies present main reasons of migration from Czech lands to imperial Russia and development of Czech settlements in southern Russian regions. The description of Russian and Ukrainian influence on Czech language phenomena and transformations on all language levels is given, as well as some features of Northeast Bohemian preserved in spoken Czech of Crimean settlers. Czech translation of Russian transgresivs in classical literature

This bachelor paper research on the possibilities of the translation of participles and transgressive turnovers from Russian to Czech language. Its aim it to determine the frequency of participles and other language resources use in transgressive Czech translations of Russian fiction; determine whether the choice of other means than the participles leads to the exact expression of the authors intentions; determine the most and least appropriate translation of Russian participles.
