Importance of tensile test for numerical simulation
Harant, Martin ; Císařová, Michaela (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The project deals with evaluation of the data obtained from the tensile test and creation of numerical simulation using the material model. Tensile test is an important tool for detecting mechanical properties of the material. Material properties are further used for structure and component designs, and for moulding processes analysis. Numerical simulation is used for gaining knowledge about these processes and deformation of components. Based on this knowledge, five samples made of steel ČSN 17 240 were tested on the ZD40 test machine. Data obtained by measuring had served as material model which was verified by simulation in ANSYS Workbench 16.
Damascus steel production
Gajdošík, Matej ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with production of Damascus steel. Literary pursuit deals with methods of production, with closer elaboration of free forging technology, suitable material properties and work procedures during forging and etched specimen preparation. In the practical part of the work, production of two forged pieces consisting of 15n20, 80CrV2 and 1095 steels was documented. Subsequently an etched specimen was prepared to assess the success of the experiment. Finally, a knife was made from the selected forged piece.
Comparison of joints for plastic parts
Matzke, Patrik ; Benč, Marek (referee) ; Harant, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with technologies for joining plastic parts in the field of headlight construction. The aim is to focus on and compare staking and self-tapping screw technologies for the application of joining optical parts made of plastic with printed circuit boards containing LEDs. In addition, to provide a comprehensive overview of these technologies and to make a comparison from a technical and economic point of view. In the practical part, a comparison of these technologies in terms of strength is made, for which a tensile test was used. From an economic point of view, the requirement is to propose a preliminary economic calculation, used for design proposals depending on the number of pieces produced, which is applied to a specific example.
Typical features of progressive shearing
Žanda, Jakub ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis first covers the basic theory of shearing technology, its process and the quality of the shearing surface. Then it focuses on the technology of progressive shearing. Its advantages and disadvantages are thoroughly described, and furthermore it is compared with other shearing methods in cutting dies. This is followed by a description of the individual components of the die and an explanation of their function and use. The material requirements of the tools are discussed and their heat treatment is presented. The last part is focused on the evaluation and contribution of this technology.
Manufacturing of the Motorcycle Cover
Jindrák, Martin ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the production of a motorcycle protective cover made of steel 11 320 with a thickness of 1.5 mm. The production batch is set at 80,000 pieces per year. Based on the analysis of the production methods and according to the prescribed requirements, deep drawing is chosen as the appropriate method. The manufacturability is verified with the help of calculations, which is followed by the design of the ideal shape of the semi-finished product. The cut will be laser cut from a sheet of metal. After carrying out the technological calculations, the tool is constructed, including drawing documentation. A suitable machine is chosen for the tool, which is a universal hydraulic press CTH 250. The conclusion of the work is focused on performing a simulation to check the yield.
Production Design of a Holder for Paddle Valve and Pressure Gauge
Bílek, Jan ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a suitable manufacturing technology for a sheet metal holder for valve and pressure gauge control for buses. A 1.5 mm thick sheet metal roll was chosen as a semi-finished product. S235JR structural steel was selected as the optimum material. The production series was set at 150,000 pieces per year. After evaluating suitable production methods, the technology of sequential shearing and bending combined in a combined tool was chosen. In the proposed tool, the part will be produced in four steps from 11 rolls with 95.85 % utilization. The production will be carried out in a Mecânica Exacta eccentric press, model CC100, supplemented by a coil unwinding device.
Stres management in Selected Organization
HARANT, Martin
The Master´s thesis "Robotic process automation (RPA) and its implementation in Controlling area" deals with the development of a software robot used to automate an administrative process within an RPA developer training. The thesis provides a description of the selected controlling process in the field of reporting logistics complaints in the company Robert Bosch, spol. s.r.o. and a description of its automation using Automation Anywhere software. The author introduced and described the various stages of development of an automated process solution, from design to its launch from a production system. After the implementation of the robot into the existing reporting in the company, its impact on the described process is monitored in terms of time and cost savings and calculating ROI of the solution. The thesis also deals with the design and development of graphical visualization of processed data in the form of an interactive dashboard using programming languages HTML, CSS and JavaScript to increase the transparency of data and their access. The conclusion of the thesis provides an evaluation of the impact of robotic automation of the reporting process and a look into the future, in which direction the use of RPA in companies might go.
Manufacturing of a safety buckle by fineblanking technology
Ryza, Dominik ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to design a manufacturing technology for the safety buckle. The component is made of steel 11 320. The thickness of the used metal sheet is 3 mm. For the production of the part has been chosen the technology of fine blanking process with pressure edge. This type of manufacturing guarantees the demanded high quality of this special O.E.M. It also makes possible to produce volume up to 700 000 pieces per year. The cutting tool is designed to produce three blanks per one production cycle of the machine. The manufacturing will be done on the triple-action press HFA 3200plus with a feeding line FBA 8/300.
Punching technology
Králíček, Václav ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
The thesis is focused on punching technology, technology which can create complex-shaped parts from sheet metal. The thesis contains description of the principles of punching, emphasis is put punching tools and various production methods, which can be performed using modern punching machines. Part of this thesis is focused on comparison between punching technology and laser cutting. The comparison is shown on two different semi-finished products made from stainless steel by ACO Industries k.s. These semi-finished products are compared from the point of view of production accuracy and manufacture speed.
Producing 100 mm caliber shell
Santa, Patrik ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on producing 100 mm caliber shell. It’s a cylindrical component with variable thickness of the wall. Material used is brass CuZn30. After evaluation of different producing options, deep drawing was chosen as the most convenient technology. Semi-finished product is round blank from which, using deep drawing, a cup will be shaped. Subsequently using technology of deep drawing with wall thinning, wall thickness will be reduced to a required dimension. Shearing runs on a hydraulic press FB one 8800 and deep drawing is provided by hydraulic press YW27-1000A. Machines used were selected on the basis of calculated forces. Also a drawing documentation was processed for the last draw and for a mold used for narrowing the orifice.
