Doubek, Matyáš ; Fořterová, Petra (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Evaluation of methodical program in skiing lectures amongst beginners Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate effectivity of methodical program used to teach skiers at beginner level. Methods: Participant observation and scaling was used to rate the performance of participants in unified test battery. Performed once before and once after the training given to the participants. We also used a poll survey to get additional information concerning the participants. Results: All of the participants scored better results in the second test battery performed after training they had been given. The methodical program has therefore been successful. The lowest advancement was achieved when testing stationary one-legged stance (0,85 points). Biggest average score difference was achieved while testing kick turn (1,2 points). Correspondingly 1,15 points was the average improvement in tests of gliding plough followed by stop and one-legged glide. Average 1,1 improvement was achieved while testing sided ski-skating. Keywords: skiing, ski course, middle school, test battery

Title: Ski courses at secondary schools in the Central Bohemia region Objectives: The goal of this bachelor thesis is to map ski courses at secondary schools in the Central Bohemian region, and determine the interest of secondary school students in these courses. Methods: The fundamental research method used was a questionnaire conducted in an online form. The questionnaire was composed of closed and semi-open questions. 132 students of secondary schools in the Central Bohemian region (aged 15-19) across all school years participated in the research. Results: Based on the results of the questionnaire research, secondary schools in the Central Bohemian regions still organize ski courses for their students, despite decreasing participation of students in these courses. Based on collected data, the organization of ski courses has also been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The most frequent motivation of students to participate in these courses was time spent together with classmates in a mountain environment. A large majority of students that have participated in ski courses were satisfied with the organization and skiing education. Keywords: ski courses, secondary school, skiing, adolescence

Changes in level of balance after in-line preparation
Filipová, Iveta ; Gnad, Tomáš (advisor) ; Fořterová, Petra (referee)
Title: Changes in level of balance after in-line preparation Objective: The aim of this thesis is to observe the changes in balancing abilities of students of FTVS after two month of in-line preparation. Methods: This thesis is quantitative scientific research, a quasi experiment and several methods were used in it. The method of literary research and the analysis of professional documents for processing the theoretical part of the thesis. Next, in the practical part, active observation, questioning and laboratory testing using the Footscan pressure plate. Results: By doing laboratory tests on the Footscan device, it was found that the level of balancing abilities of the students changed after two months of in-line preparation. Their balance improved. According to the established hypotheses, it was found that two out of four designated tests have statistical significance. Thanks to this thesis, we can say that in-line skating is an appropriate physical activity for improving not only fitness, but other motor abilities as well. Keywords: In-line skating, fitness skating, in-line skating course, sports training, postural stability, balance, balancing ability, Footscan.
The Reliability of Measuring on the Skytec Interactive Ski Simulator
Novotný, Otomar ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Fořterová, Petra (referee)
Title: The Reliability of Measuring on the Skytech Interactive Ski Simulator Objectiv: The goal of this work is to investigate the reliability of the measurement of energy expenditure on the Skytech Interactive Ski Simulator. Methods: The sample consisted of 14 subjects, among which were 9 boys and 5 girls. The value of energy expenditure was measured by indirect calorimetry using the energy equivalent and respiratory exchange ratio. For the measurement of respiratory gases, the Metamax 3B metabolic analyzer and for the analysis of heart rate, the Polar S610 heart rate monitor were used. The subjects completed two measurements, each lasting 6 minutes. During this time, the data needed for subsequent calculations reliability were measured. Assuming that the pair of measuring has a two-dimensional distribution, the reliability equals the correlation coefficient. It was computed using the maximum likelihood method. Results: The measurement of energy expenditure on the Skytec Interactive Simulator provided consistent and reliable results. The findings in this study can be applied to further testing on this machine. Conclusion: The reliability of energy expenditure reached 0,84, a result better than the usual values of reliability tests, which may typically be about 0,8. Keywords: Energy expenditure,...

Klíčová slova: tělesná zdatnost, výkonnost, testování, UNIFITTEST Monitoring of bodily efficiency basic school student in Karlovy Vary region. - 3-

Čuříková, Lada ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Jandová, Soňa (referee) ; Fořterová, Petra (referee)
Headline: Swimming technique of physically disabled swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation Aim of the Thesis: The aim of this thesis is to describe the intra-individual differences in the swimming technique of unilateral above-knee amputees by measuring the EMG of selected muscle groups. Methods: Surface EMG measurement in combination with using synchronized video recordings. Results: Research of the observed swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation showed that: when swimming the front crawl, the swimmers unequally balance the intense kick of right and left leg mainly using the abdominal muscles and subsequently also in the electric potential of different sizes in other observed muscles; when swimming the backstroke, the upper body muscles on the side of amputated limb do not show any different activity than the muscles of the opposite side; when swimming the breaststroke, the main propulsion muscle for locomotion through the shoulder girdle - m. latissimus dorsi is activated for a longer period of time on the side of amputated limb; thereby, electrical activity of the selected muscles is not symmetrical in the timeline. Key words: swimming step, swimming, above-knee amputation, electromyography, muscle activity, handicap, EMG.
