Coupling of images
Bárnet, Lukáš ; Číp, Pavel (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The Diploma thesis is concerned with coupling of images. In the first part theoretical bases necessary for successful fulfilling of the assignment are described. The second part deals with the procedures that lead to composition of the jigsaw puzzle. The last part concentrates on controlling the program. The aim of the thesis is to propound an algorithm for solving a puzzle.
PC control via eyes
Neuwirth, Tomáš ; Číp, Pavel (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The presented master thesis deals with the evaluation of the position of the iris compared with surroundings of the eye. This technique is supposed to be use for computer control. The created software works in real-time mode, the pictures are taken with an ordinary webcam. The first part of the work presents basic algorithms used in computer vision for edit of images. The following part is focused on abilities of methods to find the face, eyes and to detect the iris. The detection and the subsequent separation of the face is based on the recognition of skin colour in the YCbCr color space. The position of eye is then searched in the face by Haar-like features. The darkest part of the eye is found by horizontal projection from surroundings and the seed point is started from this place. From the area which is filled by the seed method (Flood Fill) and which shows the iris, the cursor movement is controlled by obtained x and y position.
Eye gaze tracking
Bastl, Petr ; Číp, Pavel (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the eye gaze tracking and determining the direction and the place of the view. The overview of methods for determining the view direction is provided here. The direct 3D gaze estimation technique is proposed and implemented. The eye gaze can be estimated by using a single camera and under nature head movement. This paper describes the algorithms for the image processing and the image description. The center of the pupil is determined by the genetic algorithm for the ellipse detection. The procedures of the instrumentation calibration are proposed here as well. The work also addresses the issue of the determining the eye location. Finally, the comparison of the accuracy with similar projects is mentioned in my thesis.
Traffic Signs Detection and Recognition
Číp, Pavel ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with traffic sign detection and recongnition in the urban environment and outside the town. A precondition for implementation of the system is built-in camera, usually in a car rear-view mirror. The camera scans the scene before the vehicle. The image data are transfered to the connected PC, where the data are transformation to information and evalutations. If the sign was detected the system is visually warned the driver. For a successful goal is divided into four separate blocks. The first part is the preparing of the image data. There are color segmentation with knowledge of color combination traffic signs in Czech Republic. Second part is deals with shape detection in segmentation image. Part number three is deals with recognition of inner pictogram and its finding in the image database. The final part is the visual output of displaying founded traffic signs. The thesis has been prepader so as to ensure detection of all relevant traffic signs in three basic color combinations according to existing by Decree of Ministry of Transport of Czech Republic. The result is the source code for the program MATLAB. .
