Recorder as a Therapeutic Agent in Children With Symptoms of Problem Behavior

The topic of this thesis is to use descant recorders (hereinafter recorder) as a therapeutic agent in children with behavioral difficulties. The main aim of the study is to analyze the impact of activities with the recorder on the problem phenomena in the behavior of selected individuals and further explore the views of preschool teachers of their own readiness to manage problem behavior in their classrooms. The theoretical part is mainly engaged in the therapeutic use of recorders and characteristics of problematic behavior. Considerable space is devoted to the review of options to promote desirable behavior in pre school children and areas of music therapy. With regard to the desired objectives mixed research is chosen in the practical part. Using a questionnaire opinions of preschool teachers on the issue of educational difficulties in children are collected and also the possibility to use the recorder for therapeutic purposes. The case studies demonstrate the impact of the recorder on the manifestations of problematic behavior. The conclusion summarizes the findings of the study. Irish Traditional Music at Czech School

The master's thesis deals with Irish traditional music and its possible use in music teaching at lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part provides information on Irish traditional music and the historical and geographical conditions under which it developed. The practical part deals with the possibilities of its implementation into school education in accordance with the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Accompanying the thesis is an appendix consisting of pictures, texts, worksheets and sheet music. The attached CD contains audio and video recordings as well as multimedia presentations.
Children Folklor Ensembles in Prague

TITLE: Children's Folkloric Groups in Prague ABSTRACT: This thesis focuses on children's folkloric groups in Prague. In my thesis I chart individual children's folkloric groups in Prague and identify ethnographic regions of the Czech Republic covered by these groups. Another aim of my thesis is to collect information concerning organization of these folkloric groups. I describe various motivations of their leaders and founders. Using interview method, I determine why they put efforts in folkloric groups, describe their opinions on what such groups can bring to children and difficulties they encounter. Finally, my aim is to determine children's motivation to take active part in folkloric groups and folklore itself. In my thesis I use research methods - qualitative and quantitative research. The development of literature for the recorder with focus on the baroque era

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the development of literature for the recorder from the beginnings to the present, with greater emphasis on literature from the Baroque period. The first part deals with the influence of development of the instrument on the development of literature, as well as the development of the recorder itself from its beginnings until today. The second part describes the literature for the recorder in individual historical periods. It outlines the main features of the recorder literature until the year 1600 and the main tendencies in the literature of the 20th and early 21st century. The greatest attention is devoted to Baroque literature. This chapter also contains a list of important works for recorder solo from the Baroque period.
Musical life in the Spa Town Teplice

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na hudební život lázeňských hostů v Teplicích. Přehledné zpracování historie počátku lázeňství v Podkrušnohoří až po současnost. Konkrétnější zaměření na nejvýznamnější hudební instituce a tělesa spojené s lázněmi v Teplicích. Poslední část je věnována významným osobnostem, které navštívily zmíněné lázně. K vytvoření práce byla použita literatura Bohumila Plevky, brožury Severočeské filharmonie Teplice a Konzervatoře Teplice, rozhovory s lidmi působícími v oblasti kultury v Teplicích a anonymní dotazníky s odpověďmi, které se týkaly hudebního života současných lázeňských hostů. Vyhodnocením dotazníků jsem došla k závěru, že lázeňští hosté vyhledávají mezi procedurami hudební akce, a tím pozvedají všeobecnou kulturnost populace, která jinak není v Teplicích příliš vysoká.
Music Instrumental Ensembles at Primary Schools

The thesis is focused on the activity of children instrumental ensembles in the region of the capital city Prague. In the first chapter we are studying the role of a musical instrument during the development of musical education in Czech schools. The next chapter concerns with psychological aspect of the human personality. Musical skills and abilities acquired by playing musical instrument and especially engaging in an ensemble, where it is important to perceive every other person and instrument support its development. The teachers are also an important part of an ensemble. We are dealing with use of the musical instruments that are currently available for teachers at schools. The research part of the thesis is dedicated to the particular ensembles in the region of Prague. Our goal was to map and summarize what motivates children to play in the ensembles and to find out what leads people to found musical ensembles, what they expect their work to be like and what they would appreciate in their pedagogical experience.
