Manufacturing processes of components with a minimum number of tools
Zábojník, Zdeněk ; Drbal, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on manufacturing components with a minimal number of tools on a CNC lathe. To demonstrate the production of components with a minimal number of tools, manufacturing procedures for two components, A and B, were designed. Component A is a typical component of simple shape that can be manufactured with a low number of tools. Component B is more complex in shape, and two production variants were proposed for it: one with a higher number of tools and one with a reduced number of tools. For both components were were selected tools, proposed manufacturing procedures and time calculations were carried out. In conclusion, a technical – economic evaluation and comparison of both variants for component B were conducted.
High-speed shaft production design
Polesný, Pavel ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
In the bachelor's thesis, a production process of the crankshaft of a single-cylinder two-stroke engine is designed. The flywheel has a diameter of 20.5 mm, the crank pin has a diameter 9 g6, the connecting rod pin has a diameter 4 g6, and the total length is 63.5 mm. Due to the production batch of 1000 pieces, the machining method was selected. The crankshaft will be produced as a monolith. Then the grooves at the ends of the ground surfaces 9 g6 and 4 g6 were addressed. Due to the wall thickness of 1.25 mm, the surfaces will be without grooves, and a radius or chamfer will be in the corners. The axial bearing and the connecting rod have an internal chamfer of 0.7x45°, thus grooves are unnecessary. The chosen material is 15.142 steel, tempered to a lower strength, supplied in 25x3000 mm bars by ZJP, s.r.o. The semifinished part will be manufactured on a Swiss-type lathe Manurhin K'MX EVO 732. After nitriding, the part will be ground on a Bernardo URS 500 N grinder. For the machining on the EVO 732, OPTIMA EXTREMECUT 46 mineral oil was chosen, and for grinding, a 2% concentration emulsion mixed from BITOL M petroleum emulsion oil was selected. Then the technological process was developed, and operational instructions were created. Calculations determined that 26 bars are needed for the production of the specified series. The entire series production will take just under 4 shifts.
Machining of flat-shaped components on CNC machines
Fridrich, Tomáš ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with machining of flat shaped components using CNC machines. In the theoretical part, the characteristics of CNC machines, NC programming and various methods of workpiece clamping are presented. It is followed by an overview of some Czech and foreign vertical machining centres with traverses only in X, Y and Z axes. Furthermore, an analysis of suitable technological operations for the production of flat-shaped parts is made. The last theoretical chapter deals with flat-shaped components and their division. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the creation of the NC program and the production procedure of the sample product, the compilation of data into the technological preparation of the production and the evaluation of the production.
Possibilities of limiting unwanted phenomena during chip finishing machining
Handl, Jiří ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the possibilities of limiting undesirable phenomena during finishing chip machining. In the theoretical part, selected negative phenomena arising during turning are described and the possibilities of their limitation are investigated. In the experimental part, an analysis of the influence of cutting conditions from the recommended range of the cutting tool using the turning method is carried out. Specifically, the dependence of the cutting speed and feed rate on the size of the cutting force, temperature and resulting surface quality for two different materials is monitored. The obtained results serve to understand the issue and optimize the production process.
Motorcycle engine cylinder repair
Pinďák, Ivo ; Drbal, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the technology of a cylinder reboring. The working principle of the internal combustion engine and the wear that appears by its use is described first. The repair options of a concrete wear are stated next. The chosen concrete situation of the repair process includes TPP data and the final evaluation.
3D printing of a non-dismantling assembly
Halíř, Jan ; Drbal, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with 3D printing of prototype non-disassemble assemblies. In the theoretical part, the individual most used printing technologies, the types of plastic and metal materials used, printers, 3D scanners, and their use in medicine, construction and engineering was described. In the practical part, FDM technology was used to print the ball joint, the french key, and the rolling bearing, the functionality of which were tested. In the last part, the results of the prints were evaluated based on the selected parameters and material about their functionality.
Design of sheet metal cutting technology by wire electrical discharge
Chládek, Vilém ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with electrical discharge machining with a greater emphasis on wire EDM, which the experiment is carried out. The theoretical part discusses the general principle of EDM and types of this method of machining. The experiment consists of machining a high and a low piece with a wire electrode and is then followed by a comparison of observed values such as machining time, power consumption, dimensional deviations etc. The high piece here represents cutting multiple sheets stacked on top of each other. The experiment is therefore intended to demonstrate how much more advantageous it is to machine multiple sheets at the same time. In addition, machining of the low piece is performed on an older machine for comparison with a new machine. The course of the experiment is described in detail from the characteristics of the used machines to the evaluation of the results.
Laser cutting of light and non-ferrous metals
Krucina, Mikuláš ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The problem dealt with in this thesis is laser cutting of light and non-ferrous metals. The thesis is divided into research and experimental parts. The research part focused on the analysis of the physical principle of laser cutting, technological possibilities of laser cutting and limitations for individual materials. The experimental part was focused on monitoring the effect of cutting speed, gas pressure and machine power on the surface roughness and dimensional accuracy of the fabricated samples. Two materials were chosen for the experiment. For all samples, a DURMA HD-F 3015BH fibre laser was used for cutting. In the first part of the experiment the influence of selected laser cutting parameters was investigated for samples made of EN AW 5754 material with a thickness of 3 mm. In the second part of the experiment, Cu-ETP material with a thickness of 1 mm was used and the influence of the selected laser cutting parameters was also observed in this case. The last part of this thesis deals with the evaluation of the cutting process from an economical point of view, where the price per meter of cutting and the hourly laser rate for the material were calculated.
