Nursing Care in Patients with MRSA
Zajacová, Aneta ; Trojánek, Milan (advisor) ; Jirkovský, Daniel (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Nursing Care in Patients with MRSA" deals with the issue of barrier regimen in the context primarily with golden staphylococcus infection. The aim is to assess the attitudes of nursing staff about nursing care in patients with MRSA, analyze the adherence to contact precautions in the clinical practice and to identify the factors associated with potential non-adherence. The theoretical part of the thesis serves as an introduction to the topic, while the empirical part contains the results of the actual investigation and serves to explore the above objectives. The research method was a self-constructed questionnaire with 33 questions, which was distrubuted among the nursing staff in the surgical and internal inpatient wards of the adult part of Motol University Hospital. Responses from 67 respondents were included and the obtained data were statistically processed. The survey resulted in the following findings: Only 13 respondents (19 %) say that everyone on their ward always adheres to barrier measures. The most common situation where barrier measures are not adhered to is 'acute patient condition' with 27 respondents (40 %) and 'at night' with 12 respondents from the standard ward and only 1 from the ICU. The motivation for more consistent adherence to barrier measures is fear...
Contact Precautions in Nursing Care in Paediatric Patients with Acute Gastroenteritis
Kulinová, Eliška ; Trojánek, Milan (advisor) ; Jirkovský, Daniel (referee)
The bachelor's thesis on the topic "Barrier nursing regime in pediatric patients with acute gastroenteritis" deals with the use of certain principles in the prevention of the spread of acute diarrheal diseases as nosocomial infections. It focuses on the knowledge and habits of nurses providing nursing care for hospitalized children in the children's ward, emphasizing the importance of using personal protective equipment and overall compliance with the barrier nursing regime. Objective of the work: The aim of the work was to find out and evaluate the knowledge and attitude of nurses towards compliance with the barrier nursing regime. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to find out whether respondents with a university education demonstrate greater knowledge and a stronger attitude towards compliance with set principles than respondents with a secondary education. The set of respondents was also compared according to age and length of practice. Sample and methods: The actual investigation took place in the form of a self- constructed questionnaire. Data collection took place in nine district-type hospitals throughout the Czech Republic. The research group consisted of 87 respondents. Results: Individual answers to each of the questions are described by a table or a picture, where the distribution...
Numerical simulation of gear mesh stiffness
Rackovský, Daniel Milan ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the simulation of the spur gears mesh stiffness. The introductory part of the thesis presents a detailed review of the knowledge in the field of gear theory, gear error and also NVH of gears. The next part of the thesis describes the basic principles of the function of the parametric FEM model of gear mesh, which was developed for the purpose of this thesis. The last part of the thesis presents the results of FEM simulations in which the effect of manufacturing error of the gears on the STE waveform was investigated. The basis of the simplified production error model was the sine function. The effect of the number of periods of this function and the magnitude of the amplitude on the STE waveform was investigated. The effect of the magnitude of the load torque on the STE of the production-error gear was also verified. The magnitude of the amplitudes of the sine function was determined to match the allowable wheel shape tolerances according to ISO 1328-1. The problem was solved in Ansys Mechanical APDL using a parametric FEM model based on APDL language.
Innovative Schools and Their Networks in Post-Socialist Context: The Case Study of Gymnázium Přírodní Škola
Pražák, Daniel ; Dvořák, Dominik (advisor) ; Pol, Milan (referee) ; Michek, Stanislav (referee)
In recent years, there has been a great expansion of school networking in foreign education systems, but this approach appears less often in the Czech environment. This dissertation presents a case study that analyses the interaction of schools cooperating with the Gymnasium Přírodní škola through the concept of networking. The main sources of data are interviews with actors, school documents and field notes of the researcher. The study describes the mutual influence and sharing of elements of the innovative model between the schools involved in this network. Special attention is paid to the factors that facilitate or hinder effective networking and innovation sharing, as well as the role of principals, teachers and student involvement as active agents of change. The work thus connects previous research knowledge with the unique Czech context, which enriches the professional literature on networking of educational institutions. The results offer insight into the dynamics and challenges associated with creating effective educational networks and bring support for innovation in education through networking. KEYWORDS school networking, innovative educational models, inter-organizational collaboration, inter- organizational learning, school leadership, secondary education, students as actors, case...
Design, realization and simulation of network protocols in NS2
Zvolenský, Daniel ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to become familiar with simulation environment Network Simulator 2, study the problems of sensor networks and their support in the simulator and implement the selected protocol and verify its funcitonality in a practical simulation.
Final machining technology of a special bearing ring using a grinder on the holes
Růžička, Daniel ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to compare 5 chosen grinding wheels, that vary by the material and structure. The testing is done in the company SLB, spol. s r.o., using a grinder on the holes BDU 80, which is set to 6 different settings of the grinding cycle, defined by the letters A´, A, B, C, D and E. These settings vary by the cutting conditions and enable to compare the tested grinding wheels by 8 measured parameters of the surface quality of the grinded bearing orbits of outer rings of the SLB 84-74 bearings, that are described by the drawing documentation.
Measurement and analysis of the blood flow in peripheral vessels by ultrasound Doppler methods
Lepš, Milan ; Sedlář, Martin (referee) ; Vlk, Daniel (advisor)
Nowadays, the Doppler ultrasonography is an essential part in medicine. With it, we can observe acoustic showoff some tissue associated with Doppler measurement of blood flow parameters. It is still using Doppler devices with a continuous signal which are although structurally and technically simpler, but they are suitable for measuring the speed and volume of blood flow in peripheral blood vessels of the upper and lower limbs. There are calculated physiological parameters from the flow curves that are clinically used for assessing the state of blood supply to the body part. We can determine many values from the flow curves, like peripheral resistance, blood flow in systole and diastole, medium speed, etc. Study group of people are male and female students from 18 to 20 years. Doppler measurements have been performed before physical exercise and after physical exercise.
Estimation of pitch period
Matuštík, Daniel ; Tučková, Jana (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)

Driven chaotic oscillators
Pšeno, Daniel ; Guzan,, Milan (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of this masters thesis are driven chaotic oscillators. The aim of this project is show the various types of driven chaotic oscillator and propose mathematical model solutions using numerical methods. In the first part of this thesis are shown theory of chaos, history of chaos theory, chaotic systems and chaos quantifiers. Next is numerical analysis of differential equations second order by Runge-Kutta fourth order method. Next part contains circuit blocks and synthesis of oscillators. In next part are defined all types of oscillators. Parameters of analysis, equations, circuits and simulations are defined for each type of driven chaotic oscillators. In each subchapter is design electrical circuit. This circuit is simulated and some of them realized.
