Vaňková, Zuzana ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Pelc, Vladimír (referee)
The injured party and his procedural rights in Czech criminal proceedings Abstract: The subject of this paper is the injured party and his procedural rights in current Czech criminal proceedings. The aim of this paper is to depict the victims' position comprehensively, with an emphasis on their procedural rights in criminal proceedings. The systematics of the text is chosen in such a way, so that individual situations in which the concerned persons end up and their related rights follow as far as possible chronologically. The first chapter is concerned with defining the basic concepts and also with sources of the relevant legal regulation. Afterwards, the paper contains the description of the period from committing the crime to the criminal proceedings, mainly from the victims' point of view. Firstly, some statistic data is given to illustrate the likelihood of victimization in the Czech Republic, followed by an enumeration of lawful reaction to it. The list of places, where the victim can find help and support, is mentioned as well as the description of the possible entrances to the criminal proceedings. The following part deals with the way in which the injured party acts in the proceedings - his procedural subjectivity and potential representation, including the related costs. Then, a section concerned...
Political Party Funding: an International Comparison
Bejdák, Matěj ; Kindlová, Miluše (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to identify significant weaknesses of political party funding system in the Czech Republic, and to suggest possible improvements of the system. Knowledge acquired in the first part of the thesis, which deals with the theoretical basis of political party funding, is used to analyse the applicable legislation. This part of the thesis first of all describes the legal framework of political parties, the principles and goals of political party funding, and possible approaches to the funding; the most space is devoted to one of the possible approaches, regulatory measures, which is divided on the basis of supply side (state a private funding) and demand side (mainly campaign spending regulation). The Czech legislation is not only analysed in general and using the theoretical basis, but is also compared with the system adopted by the Federal Republic of Germany. The hypothesis is that the German law is a good example for the Czech Republic in the field of party financing, for the Federal Republic of Germany has been a developed democratic state of law for a longer uninterrupted period of time, and was one of the first countries in the world to introduce state funding of political parties. The second part of the thesis describes, analyses and compares the applicable legislation of the...
The crime of robbery in comparison with selected crimes against personal freedom
Wachtlová, Nikola ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Pelc, Vladimír (referee)
The crime of robbery in comparison with selected crimes agains personal freedom This rigorous work focuses on the crime of robbery comparison with selected crimes against personal freedom. It deals primarily with the crime of robbery in terms of the criminal law. This thesis is systematically classified so that it contains the historical context of legal regulation of robbery in the territory of today's Czech Republic. In addition, the basic concepts, which are in the main a crime as such and freedom, like freedom, not only as the freedom of an individual, but also the protection of property, including the very innocuousness of the dwelling, which, of course, is part of the concept of freedom. After a historical excursion and general interpretation, a more detailed analysis of the crime of robbery de lege lata follws, i.e. in accordance with the applicable law, namely robbery and robbery qualified. The next chapter of this work deals with criminal liability and the associated fault and the same time in this chapter we find a brief description of the circumstances excluding illegality, which are related to criminal law. In the following chapter, the thesis deals with the descripsion of the obligatory features of the facts of each crime, which are the object, the objective page, the subject, the...
Sperm acrosomal reactien in selected species of mammals
Frolíková, Michaela
Mammalian sperm must undergo the process of capacitation - series of physiological and biochemical modifications prior fertilization. In last stage of capacitation sperm undergoes acrosome reaction (AR). During AR the cell membrane of the sperm fuses with the outer acrosomal membrane and the contents of acrosomal vesicle are released into extracellular space. Sperm which did not undergo AR or sperm missing acrosome at all are unable to fertilize. AR results into dramatical changes in the sperm head. Most of the proteins present in plasmatic and outer acrosomal membrane are reorganized or lost. There are also significant changes in cytoskeletal and intraacrosomal proteins are released to extracellular space uncovering new surface domains. Some sperms undergo AR even without presence of inductor of AR during capacitation in vitro. This event is called spontaneous (accelerated) AR. The latest research indicates that spontaneous AR is natural part of the process of fertilization. Field mice (Apodemus) show high level of promiscuity leading to significant risk of sperm competition. Unique reproduction strategy where the sperms form so-called sperm trains was evolved in field mice. Spontaneous AR is probably enabling the dissociation of sperms from the sperm train. The spontaneous AR rate is dependent on...
Cross-border Anti-competitive Agreements
Tupá, Kristýna ; Růžička, Květoslav (referee)
1 ABSTRACT Cross-border Anti-competitive Agreements Functional market mechanism, as an essential element of a market economy, is a prerequisite for the economic prosperity of advanced democratic states. A completely crucial element of its functionality is free competition, the protection of which is regulated by competition law. However, competition does not apply consistently across all sectors. In this thesis I focuse on its application within the financial services area. This sector`s nature is very specific because we must always strive to maintain financial stability when implementing any measures. How should legislation respond to these aspects respond and how should the competition policy itself be shaped? Is regulation of this area necessary or does the competition intself represent a thread to the financial stability of the system? In order to fully understand the specifics of this area, it is firstly necessary to become familiar with the economic aspect of competition law and the nature of these white-collar crimes. Consequently, I will focus on the application of the competition law on financial services, taking into account new technologies and their influence on the structure of this market. The impact of competition on the banking sector is one of the core parts of this thesis. Based on an...
Factors which affect the purification and stability bioconjugates azaftalocyanines
Cichý, Jakub ; Kučera, Radim (advisor) ; Pilařová, Pavla (referee)
Rigorous thesis Factors which affect the purification and stability bioconjugates azaftalocyanines Mgr. Jakub Cichý Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradci Králové, Department of Pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical analysis This work continues in diploma thesis Purification azaphthalocyanines bioconjugates using SPE. It deals with the stability of molecular probes (i.e. "mono" and "dual- labeled") after dilution and storage in a given time period (fridge/freezer). We focused on the content changes of free oligonucleotide chains and probes containing azaphthalocyanine dyes using HPLC with detection at 260 and 673 nm, at following time intervals 0 h, 14 h, 13 days and 33 days. We found that molecular AzaPc probes were stable without significant changes in their content and purity even after a month of storage. The biggest influence on the purity of the azaphthalocyanine bioconjugates had the evaporation metod of the mobile phase from the sample after the purification step. Furthermore, we studied the posibility of purification of the "dual-labeled" probes containing AzaPc by SPE. Unfortunatly, the result showed that the examined SPE cartridges were unable to separate successfully the "mono-labeled" the"dual-labeled" probes from each other. Nevertheless, the phenyl column DSC-Ph (500...
The clinical application of bioimpedance spectroscopy in polytrauma patients and in pregnant women
Josková, Věra ; Hronek, Miloslav (advisor) ; Kacerovský, Marian (referee)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Mgr. Věra Josková Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Miloslav Hronek, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis: The clinical application of bioimpedance spectroscopy in polytrauma patients and in pregnant women Introduction and Objectives: Bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) is a non-invasive method determining the amount of body fluids and their distribution into the extracellular (ECW) and intracellular (ICW) space, based on the tissue resistance. It has already been applied in many clinical trials in healthy volunteers and in different groups of patients to assess body composition. Furthermore, it seems to be useful in nutritional counseling. However, in critically ill patients hospitalized in intensive care unit (ICU) or in pregnant women, this method has not been used in routine clinical practice as yet. Both of these groups are characterized by the state of increased body fluids. For this reason, BIS could be applied in respective groups of patients. Hence, the main aims of this doctoral thesis were: 1) to describe in detail the principle and the previous use of BIS; 2) to use the BIS to determine the degree of hyperhydratation of patients with polytrauma (PP), and to evaluate the results with the...
