My thesis describes the historical background of ProCulture's origin. An interesting chapter explains the organization that led to the establishment of ProCulture headed by George Soros and his foundation, Open Society Fund Prague. The main part of my thesis focuses on the activities of ProCulture. These activities have a huge impact on Czech culture and politics. I highlight the significance of advocacy activities through my examples of particular campaigns and through informative and educational work.
Lastly, I explain that there are similar organizations in the Czech Republic being described. Proculture is a very important element of Czech cultural life.
