Tématem práce je posoudit možnost aplikovat metody běžně používané finanční analýzy podniku na Český rozhlas, který není zřízen za účelem dosahování zisku, ale jehož posláním ze zákona je plnit služby veřejnosti. K porovnání získaných hodnot jednotlivých ukazatelů byl zvolen Slovenský rozhlas, ale jak se ukázalo, obě instituce jsou v odlišné situaci, která je dána různým vývojem v samostatných státech po rozdělení Československa. Na tento typ institucí lze použít metody finanční analýzy jen částečně, popřípadě po úpravách, a vždy je nutno vzít v úvahu specifické podmínky, ve kterých působí dané instituce. Nelze zapomenout ani na odlišné postupy účtování, které plynou z platných předpisů The focus of my thesis is the evaluation of the possibility to apply the methods of the financial analysis to the Czech Radio, i.e. to the society which is not established to make a profit, but its principal legal mission is to provide public services. The Slovak Radio which was selected to serve as a counterpart for comparison of the figures has proved to be found in a different current situation, due to varied developments in both independent republics after the division of former Czechoslovakia. Therefore, the methods of financial analysis can be applied only partly and after the adjustments in which specific conditions of environment of both institutions must be taken into account. Specific accounting procedures derived from legal frames and codes cannot be omitted either.
