Abstract: Cílem této práce je potvrdit či vyvrátit teorii parity kupní síly v podmínkách České republiky. Odklon této teorie od reality je vysvětlen na základě Balassa-Samuelsonova modelu. Částěčně se práce dotýká cenové a reálné konvergence České republiky k Evropské měnové unii.
