Diplomová práce je rozčleněna na dvě části. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení podstaty finanční analýzy, definování jednotlivých skupin uživatelů analýzy, představení základních technik a metodických nástrojů a prezentování tří predikčních modelů. V praktické části jsou teoreticky popsané techniky, metody a modely aplikovány na společnost Eaton Elektrotechnika s.r.o. a je tak provedena finanční analýza za období od 1.5.2006 do 31.12.2010. Pro zvýšení vypovídací schopnosti je analýza rozšířena o prostorové srovnání s hlavními konkurenty společnosti a porovnání vybraných ukazatelů společnosti se středními hodnotami oboru, ve kterém působí. The thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part deals with defining the financial analysis and the definition of groups of users, demonstrates the basic techniques and methodological tools and presents three prediction models. In the practical part are theoretically described techniques, methods and models applied to the Eaton Elektrotechnika company. Financial analysis is conducted for the period from 1.5.2006 to 31.12.2010. To increase its explanatory ability the analysis is extended to include a comparison with major competitors and a comparison of selected indicators with middle values for corresponding work fields.
