Abstract: The first part of this thesis is a review of methods used in a research of population dynamics of orchids. The second part consists of a proposal of my master thesis which focuses on population dynamics and management of Pseudorchis albida populations in Šumava mountains. In addition, I prepared a list of historical and recent occurrence of P. albida in the Czech Republic and quantified the extent of its decline.
