Stále rostoucí procento seniorů v populaci nás všechny dříve nebo později dovede k osobnímu setkání s tématikou seniorského věku. Životní styl se prolíná všemi generacemi nevyjímaje seniorskou, avšak aktivní přístup každého ke svému zdraví je velmi aktuální. Má práce se tedy zaměřuje v teoretické části na gerontologii a životní styl obecně a praktická část poskytuje konkrétní data o životním stylu seniorů nad 75 let. Adekvátní pohybová aktivita, stravovací návyky a další doporučení v oblasti prevence mají vliv na celkový stav seniora. Získaná data odhalují problém neadekvátního složení jídelníčku a vysoké váhy. The gowing percentage of retired people in the population will sooner or later lead us to our personal experience with the subject of retiring age. The active way of life and the positive attitude to the healthcare is very actual. The phenomenon of life style passes through the whole range of age groups including the retired people. My work is divided into two parts. The firsr theoretical part is dedicated to gerontology and to life style. The practical part shows the concrete data and information about the life style of the people older than 75 years. It shows adequate sport activities, food habits and other recommendations in the field of prevention which influence the health condition of retired. The gained data disclose the problem of inadequate diet and high weight.
