Všichni pracovníci v oborech akutní medicíny, včetně záchranářů jsou v důsledku stresujících událostí v každodenní praxi ohroženi nejen syndromem vyhoření a akutní reakcí na stres, ale i posttraumatickou stresovou poruchou. Všechny uvedené stavy nejen významně ovlivňují osobní a pracovní život postiženého zaměstnance, ale mohou mít negativní vliv i na pacienty. All the members of medical staff involved in the acute medicine including emergency medical service providers are, with their stressful everyday practice vulnerable to the burn-out syndrome and the acute response to stress but also to the posttraumatic strss disorder.All the conditions mentioned result not only in unfavourable effects on the emergency medical service providers professional and personal life, but may also affect unfavourably the patiens themselves.
