Druhá kapitola se věnuje základní údržbě nástroje.
Třetí kapitola pojednává o prasklinách ve dřevě nástroje, proč vznikají, jaké následky může prasklina mít, a jak můžeme nástroj ochránit. Zabývá se také otázkou používání oleje.
Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje příčiny kondenzace vody v tónových otvorech.
Pátá kapitola pojednává o seřizování mechaniky hoboje s automatickým a poloautomatickým systémem a poskytuje stručný přehled funkcí jednotlivých šroubků.
Šestá kapitola se věnuje menším opravám, jako je výměna korků nebo čištění oktávových ventilů.
V poslední sedmé kapitole je poskytnuto pár rad ohledně výběru nového nástroje, a jak se o něj starat.The first chapter briefly describes the manufacture of oboes (concretely in the company Gebrüder Mönnig - Oscar Adler & Co. Holzblasinstrumentenbau GmbH Markneukirchen) and the construction of the oboe itself.
The second chapter is devoted to basic maintenance of the instrument.
The third chapter discusses cracks in the body of the instrument, why they occur, what consequences cracks in the wood may have and how we can protect instruments. The usage of the oil in maintenance is addressed too.
The fourth chapter describes reasons for water condensation in tone holes and octaves vents.
The fifth chapter treats the adjustment of the oboe?s mechanism with automatic and half-automatic systems and provides a short list with functions of all screws.
The sixth chapter is devoted to minor repairs, such as mending corks or cleaning the octave vent.
In the final seventh chapter a few suggestions concerning instrument choice are offered and the treatment of a new instrument.
