Tato bakalářská práce se v úvodu zabývá vývojem minimalistické hudby. Dále se věnuje dílu Philip Glasse, jeho kompozičnímu růstu a nakonec popisuje i cestu Philipa Glasse k divadlu. Poslední část je věnovaná první Glassově opeře Einstein on the Beach. Nachází se zde souhrn užitých hudebních prostředků, celé libreto, český překlad, popis jednotlivých scén a nakonec i harmonický a formální plán celého díla. This essay is about development of minimalist music. The other part is about Philip Glasses compositions, his compositional progression and his way to theater. Final part is about opera Einstein on the Beach, which is the first opera by Philip Glass. There is summary of musical components which are used in Einstein on the Beach, libretto with czech translation, description of scenes and finally harmonic and formal design of the whole piece.
