Ve své dizertacní práci jsem se snažil postihnout ty aspekty instrumentace, jež se primárne netýkají pouze zvukových predstav, ale jsou ovlivneny i jinými, mimohudebními aspekty. Vzhledem k šíri tématu jsem se zameril pouze na analýzy z hudby 20. století s hlavním durazem na instrumentacní postupy Leoše Janácka a Bohuslava Martinu. Analýzy dvou konkrétních del Alfreda Schnittkeho a Arvo Pärta jsou podle mého názoru typickou ukázkou vrstevnatosti hudebního myšlení v druhé polovine 20. století. Skladatel 20. a 21. století již nepremýšlí o instrumentaci pouze v ciste hudebních zvukových souvislostech, nýbrž použitím urcitých nástroju muže rozehrávat celou šíri významu i skrytých poselství. V tomto zpusobu myšlení spatruji i poslání a smysl soudobé vážné hudby. To znamená neustrnout pouze v oblasti naplnování ideálních zvukových predstav, nýbrž reflektovat impulsy nejen z jiných oblastí umení, ale i sociologické a historické kontexty spolecenských dejin. In my thesis, I was trying to deal with the aspects of instrumentation that primarily concern not only the sound concepts, but that are also influenced by other, extra-musical aspects. Given the breadth of the topic, I focused only on analyses of the twentieth century´s music, on instrumentation methods of Leoš Janácek and Bohuslav Martinu in particular. Analyses of two concrete works by Alfred Schnittke and Arvo Pärt are in my opinion a typical example of stratification of musical thinking in the second half of the twentieth century. A twentieth or twenty-first century composer does not think about instrumentation in a purely musical context any more, he can create a whole scale of meanings and hidden messages. In this I see the mission and sense of contemporary music. That is not to stagnate in the area of satisfying of ideal sound concepts, but to reflect not only the impulses from other branches of art, but also social and historical contexts.
