Tato diplomová práce analyzuje, jaké postavení Česká republika v Evropské unii zastává, zejména zda je členskými zeměmi EU považována za rovnocenného partnera či zda hraje jako nový členský stát EU méně významnou roli. Důraz byl kladen zejména na výchozí postavení ČR v procesu transformace a asociace k EU, ale i současnou pozici ČR v EU včetně plánovaného vstupu do eurozóny a nedávno uplynulého předsednictví ČR v Radě EU. This diploma thesis analyzes the position of the Czech Republic in the European Union, particularly whether is considered as an equal partner or plays as a new member less important role. More emphasis has been put not only on an initial status within the process of transformation and association with the European Union, but also on the contemporary position of the Czech Republic in the European Union including the intended integration in the euro area and the past Czech Presidency of the European Union.
