Diplomová práce se zabývá jednou z mnoha regulací, kterými je postižena nákladní kamionová doprava, tzv. hours of service. Jedná se o omezení vztahující se na dobu služby řidičů. Kamionová doprava představuje důležitou součást ekonomiky jako spojovací článek mezi firmami navzájem a firmami a konečnými spotřebiteli. Cílem práce je porovnat jednotlivé předpisy v Evropské unii, v Kanadě a ve Spojených státech amerických spolu s jejich historickým vývojem. Na odlišnosti v regulacích je následně poukázáno v modelových přepravních relacích. Dále jsou analyzovány jednotlivé zainteresované skupiny, které jsou těmito předpisy ovlivněny. V závěrečné části této práce je zkoumáno, které argumenty mohou hovořit pro stávající omezení či proti nim, a jaké následky vznikají při stávajících regulacích, případně v prostředí, kde se tato pravidla ještě zpřísňují. Thesis is concerned with one of many regulations which affects cargo truck transport, so-called hours of service. It is restriction related to time of drivers' service. Truck transport means important part of economy as connection between companies or between company and final consumers. Aim of the work is compare regulations in European Union, Canada and USA together with their historical evolution. Differences in regulation are then explained in model transport relations. There are also analyzed individual interested groups which are influenced by these regulations. In final part of the work is looked about pro and con of existing restriction and what are the consequences of observance of the rules or even tightening up the rules.
