Práce se zabývá popisem a analýzou veřejné dopravy v hlavních městech Ruské federace a České republiky -- Moskvě a Praze. Pozornost je věnována zejména současnému stavu, plánům a perspektivám vývoje, investicím a kriminalitě. Velmi zajímavou částí je historie vzniku veřejné dopravy v obou městech. Na základě získaných informací se hodnotí zejména dostatečnost městské dopravy pro obě města, velikost dopravních podniků, financování veřejné dopravy. Kapitola Plány a perspektivy rozvoje informuje o plánovaných výstavbách tras metra v Praze a v Moskvě, o zlepšení infrastruktury v příměstských částech těchto měst. The paper deals with the description and analysis of public transport in major cities of the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic - Prague and Moscow. Attention is devoted mainly to the state, plans and prospects of development, investment and crime. Very interesting part is the history of public transportation in both cities. Based on the information gathered, the adequacy of public transport for both cities, the size of transport companies, financing of public transport have been evaluated. Chapter plans and prospects informes about the planned construction of new metro lines in Prague and Moscow, which will help to improve infrastructure in the suburban areas of mentioned cities.
