Cílem této práce je analyzovat dopady měnové politiky v průběhu osmdesátých a devadesátých let, která jsou také často označována jako tzv. "ztracená dekáda (the lost decade)", na japonskou ekonomiku. Teoretická část je věnována základnímu popisu a srovnání vybraných teorií zabývajících se měnovou politikou. Zaměřuje se především na Past likvidity, Friedmanův monetarismus. Dále se zabývá přínosem mainstreamové ekonomie a rakouské školy. Základem analytické časti je analýza vybraných dat japonské ekonomiky citlivých na měnovou politiku. Na základě vyhodnocených dat ukazuje, do jaké míry může být reálný produkt ovlivněn měnovou politikou. Jako zkoumané data jsou zvoleny krátkodobá úroková míra, za kterou nabízejí banky úvěry investorům, vývoj cen akcií, změny peněžní nabídky a poptávky a vývojem hrubého domácího produktu. Výsledkem zkoumání je určení podílu vlivu monetární politiky na fluktuacích během tzv. ztracené dekády. The aim of this paper is to analyze the effects of monetary policy to the Japanese real economy during the eighties and nineties, whichare often referred to as the the Lost Decade. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic description and comparison of selected theories of monetary policy. It focuses primarily on the Liquidity trap, Friedman's monetarism and also deals with the benefits of mainstream economics and Austrian School. The maen finding is analysis of selected data in the Japanese economy sensitive to monetary policy. On the basis of evaluated data shows to what extent the real product influenced monetary policy. As exploration of the data is chosen short-term interest rate at which banks offer loans to investors, share prices, changes in money supply and demand and the development of gross domestic product. The result of the examination is to determine the proportion of the impact of monetary policy to fluctuations in the so-called Lost decade.
