Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o sociálních sítích od jejich historických kořenů až do současnosti, kdy díky využití moderních informačních technologií dochází k prudkému vzestupu na jejich oblibě jak mezi lidmi, tak i mezi firmami, pro které mohou být cestou ke zvyšování zisku díky možnosti prezentace jejich výrobků a služeb, náboru nových zaměstnanců a komunikaci s okolím. Vzhledem k rychlému růstu sociálních sítí v letech minulých je třeba neopomenout ani předpoklady vývoje v letech budoucích. Problematika sociálních sítí je zkoumána z hlediska příležitostí, které jejich používání přináší. Co se týče komerční sféry v České republice a její působení v oblasti sociálních sítí, je třeba zohlednit zaměření firmy, její velikost a nepřímo i její vliv na českém trhu. Pomocí průzkumu jednotlivých sociálních sítí, dotazování firem, čtení internetových zdrojů a různých odborných publikací bylo dosaženo cílů bakalářské práce. This bachelor thesis deals with social networks from its historical roots until the present, when occurs a sharp rise in their popularity between people and also between companies due to using modern information technology, which might be a way to increase their profits with the ability to present their products and services, labour recruitment and communication with the outside. Due to the rapid growth of social networks in the recent years it is necessary to mention the assumptions in future years. The issue of social networks is examined in terms of opportunities that their usage brings. As for the commercial sector in the Czech Republic and its impact on social networks, it is necessary to take into account the orientation of the company, its size and indirectly its impact on the Czech market. By using a survey of individual social networks, polling companies, reading web resources, and various professional publications was achieved the objectives of the thesis.
