Tato diplomová práce objasňuje důvody a cíle procesu sbližování Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví - IFRS s Obecně uznávanými účetními zásadami v USA - US GAAP se zaměřením na společné projekty Rad zastupujících oba systémy -- IASB (Rada pro mezinárodní účetní standardy) a FASB (Rada pro standardy finančního účetnictví v USA). V rámci společných projektů jsou blíže popsány projekty "Uznávání a vykazování výnosů" a "Prezentace dat v účetní závěrce". Významnou součástí projektu "Prezentace dat v účetní závěrce" je i návrh výkazu úplného výsledku hospodaření. Čtenářům je také přiblížen obsah v současnosti platného Koncepčního rámce pro účetní závěrky sestavované podle IFRS a jeho plánovaná novela v návaznosti na proces konvergence. This thesis explains the main purposes and aims of the convergence process between International Financial Reporting Standards and the American Generally Accepted Accounting Prinicples in a join projects between IASB (International Accounting Standards Board) and FASB (Financial Accounting Standard Board). In respect of the join projects, two are described. These are: "Revenue recognition" and "Presentation of financial statements". A major part of the financial statement element is the draft of statement of comprehensive income. Readers of this thesis will find included information about IFRS conceptual framework and in addition details of its planned replacement, which comes from convergence process.
