Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vývoje finančního hospodaření obce na příkladu statutárního města Jihlavy. Teoretická část pojednává zejména o postavení obcí v české legislativě a rozpočtování v obcích v ČR, podrobně je zde řešena struktura a vývoj příjmů a výdajů obcí. Vývoj jednotlivých složek příjmů a výdajů ve statutárním městě Jihlava je sledován a analyzován v praktické části za období let 2003 - 2010 a je porovnáván s vývojem v obcích v ČR. Text je doplněn pro větší přehlednost řadou tabulek a grafů. This thesis analyzes the development of the financial management of the municipality on the example of the City of Jihlava. The theoretical part deals mainly on the status of municipalities in the Czech legislation and budgeting in municipalities in the country. Development of individual components of income and expenditure is monitored and analyzed in the practical part for the period 2003 - 2010 and is compared with development in municipalities in the country. The text is added for greater clarity, a number of tables and graphs.
