Práce analyzuje dopad protikrizových opatření společnosti Kimberly-Clark. Teoretická část představuje vhled do pojmů strategie, konkurenceschopnost, portfolio management a managementu lidských zdrojů. Těžištěm práce je rozbor rámcové strategie Europe 2012, která byla publikována top managementem společnosti. Dvě případové studie následně řeší otázku implementace těchto rámcových strategických opatření do praxe a formují na základě fundamentální analýzy doporučení pro evropský region s důrazem na český trh. Nejdůležitějším závěrem je nutnost diverzifikace přístupu k jednotlivých kategoriím produktů v rámci portfolia společnosti. Přiřazení jasných rolí jednotlivým kategoriím umožní vyšší koncentraci na jejich potenciál a maximalizaci přínosu pro celou společnost. V případě režijních nákladů je pak vhodné jasně limitovat vývoj v závislosti na vývoji tržeb. Na druhou stranu je také potřeba si uvědomit, že zaměstnanci jsou klíčovým zdrojem společnosti a je proto nutné zajistit pro ně motivující a prostředí. Úspory v oblasti režijních nákladů je nutné hledat v položkách přinášejících malou přidanou hodnotu. The thesis analyses anti-crisis measures of Kimberly-Clark company. Theoretical part introduces terms like strategy, competitiveness, portfolio management and human resources management. Key element of the thesis is general strategy Europe 2012 which was published by the top management. Two case studies then address implementation of this general strategy and based on fundamental analysis form recommendations for region of Europe with focus on czech market. The most important conclusion is necessity to diversify approach to product categories within company's portfolio. Assignment of clear roles to specific categories enables better focus on their potential and maximization of contribution to company's results as a whole. In terms of operating expenses, it is important to limit their inflation depending on the evolution of sales. On the other hand we need to keep in mind that employees are the key resource for the company and it is therefore important to enasure motivating environment for them. Savings in operating expenses need to be seeked in areas bringing small added value.
