Diplomová práce se zabývá strategií Evropa 2020 a jejími cíli v kontextu teorií ekonomického růstu. Pokouší se dát do souvislosti implikace modelů (zejména) endogenního růstu s opatřeními navrženými autoři Strategie. Cíle jsou nejdřív zasazeny do kontextu současné ekonomické situace členských zemí, je srovnáno postavení EU a jejich partnerů a identifikovány problematické oblasti evropské konkurenceschopnosti v dané oblasti. Z růstových modelů, představených v úvodní kapitole, jsou dovozeny některé přístupy k doporučením ohledně realizace prorůstových politik. Na základě závěrů těchto teorií jsou pak diskutovány opatření přijaté strategií Evropa 2020 a jejich potenciální implikace pro růst na úrovni Evropské unie. The diploma thesis deals with Europe 2020 strategy and its targets in the context of growth theories. The thesis aims at relating the measures suggested by the strategy to the implications of the growth theories. First, the targets are compared with the current situation in EU member states and problem areas of European competitiveness are identified. Growth models described in the first chapter yield some normative recommendations with respect to growth policies. Based on these conclusions, the thesis discusses the policies designed in the Europe 2020 strategy and their implications for economic growth in the EU.
