eng Abstract:
Electrochemical properties of new transition metal complexes based on Ru(terpyridine)22+ with different sizes of tripodal anchors on gold bead electrode surfaces were studied by cyclic\nvoltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The presence of specialized functional groups in a tripodal arrangement enabled a successful Au-S bond formation and reproducible\npreparation of a well-defined compact self-assembled monolayer. Calculations of the surface concentration and the area per adsorbed molecule were done. The electron transfer rate constants of\nRu-tripods were determined and compared.
