Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou paliativní ošetřovatelské péče o pacientky s karcinomem prsu v pokročilém stadiu onemocnění. Cílem práce bylo popsat specifika této péče, objasnit úlohu všeobecné sestry a identifikovat nejčastější potřeby pacientek v závěru života. Empirická část práce je založena na kvalitativním výzkumném šetření, které probíhalo od ledna do března formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se šesti všeobecnými sestrami, které pracující v domácím hospici Jordán. Analýza získaných dat byla realizována metodou tužka a papír. Na jejím základě bylo identifikováno devět tematických kategorií, které reflektují klíčové oblasti paliativní péče - od spektra pacientů a specifik péče, přes plánování, roli sestry, až po průběh péče a její financování. Výsledky ukázaly, že karcinom prsu patří k častým diagnózám v domácí hospicové péči a vyžaduje komplexní a individuálně zaměřený přístup. Sestry zdůrazňovaly důležitost psychické a spirituální podpory, empatie a důvěry ve vztahu k pacientkám i jejich rodinám. Práce poukázala také na omezení v dostupnosti odborné podpory, nedostatek času a potřebu lepší komunikace s rodinami. Přínosem práce je zviditelnění praktických zkušeností sester z terénu, pojmenování slabých míst péče a návrh možností dalšího rozvoje paliativní péče zaměřené na pacientky s karcinomem prsu. Výsledky dále poukazují na to, že by bylo vhodné v budoucnu realizovat šetření zaměřené na tuto problematiku ve větším počtu zařízení tak, aby bylo možné vytvořit ucelené doporučení pro praxi odpovídající potřebám těchto pacientů a jejich blízkých a zároveň potřebám našeho zdravotnického systému. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of palliative nursing care for female patients with advanced breast cancer. The aim of the thesis was to describe the specifics of this care, clarify the role of the general nurse and identify the most common needs of patients at the end of their life. The empirical part of the thesis is based on a qualitative research survey, which was conducted from January to March in the form of semi-structured interviews with six general nurses working in Domácí hospic Jordán. The analysis of the collected data was carried out using the pencil and paper method. Based on the results, there were identified nine thematic categories reflecting key areas of palliative care, ranging from the spectrum of patients and specifics of care, planning, the role of the nurse, and the course of care and its financing. The results showed that breast cancer is a common diagnosis in home hospice care and requires a comprehensive, individual approach. Nurses emphasized the importance of psychological and spiritual support, empathy and trust in their relationships with patients and their families. The thesis also highlighted limitations in the availability of professional support, lack of time and the need for better communication with families. The contribution of the thesis is to disclose the practical experience of nurses who work in the field, to name the weak points of said care and to suggest possibilities for further development of palliative care focused on breast cancer patients. The results further suggest that it would be useful to conduct future surveys focused on this issue in a larger scope of facilities so that comprehensive practice recommendations can be developed to meet the needs of these patients with their families, as well as the needs of our health care system.
