Diplomová práce je zaměřena na literární dílo francouzské spisovatelky, existencialistické myslitelky a feministky Simone de Beauvoir. V jejím díle, a to jak literárním, tak esejistickém, zaujímá ústřední místo ženská otázka. Práce se proto soustředí na ztvárnění této tematiky prostřednictvím ženských postav. Nejdříve práce seznamuje čtenáře se samotnou autorkou a jejím podílem na existencialismu a feministickém hnutí, dále se práce zaměřuje na celkovou žánrovou a tematickou charakteristiku spisovatelčina díla, přiblíží její vztah k ženské otázce a zmíní též její názory na některé vybrané literární hrdinky, jak je vyjádřila v eseji Druhé pohlaví. Analýzy vybraných textů pak budou směřovat k nastínění charakteristiky a typologie ženských protagonistek próz Simone de Beauvoir. The thesis focuses on the literary work of the French writer, existentialist thinker and feminist Simone de Beauvoir. In her work, both literary and essayistic, her view of women and what entails to be one occupies a central place. The work therefore focuses on the representation of this theme through female characters. It first introduces Beauvoir, highlighting her contribution to existentialism and the feminist movement. The thesis then shifts its focus to the overall genre and thematic characteristics of her work, explores her relationship with "womanhood" and discusses her views on selected literary heroines as expressed in her essay "The second sex". Analyses of the selected texts will aim to outline the characteristics and typology of the female protagonists in Simone de Beauvoir's prose.
