Tato práce pojednává o funkcích a působení zelených střech v urbánních oblastech městských aglomerací a snaží se s využitím zahraničních zdrojů informovat o veškerých benefitech, které jsou zelené střechy schopny nabídnout. V druhé kapitole je pojednáváno o několika výzkumech z České republiky. Předposlední kapitola nastiňuje možnosti využití zelených střech i na jiných místech než jenom v urbanizovaném prostředí. Poslední kapitola seznamuje s možnostmi podpory jak v České republice, tak v zahraničí. Podkapitola Podpora zelených střech v zahraničí ukazuje jednotlivé formy podpor na různých projektech zelených střech. Závěrem práce je diskuse, ve které se autor snaží zkonfrontovat možné rozdíly v zahraničních výzkumech a těch v České republice. This work deals with the functions and operation of green roofs in urban areas of urban agglomerations and tries to inform mainly by foreign means about all these benefits that green roofs can offer. The second chapter deals with several studies from the Czech Republic. The penultimate chapter outlines the possibilities of using green roofs in other places than just in an urban environment. The last chapter introduces the possibilities of support both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The subchapter Support for Green Roofs Abroad shows the various forms of support for various green roof projects. The conclusion of the thesis is a discussion that tries to confront possible differences in foreign research and those in the Czech Republic.
