Abstract: As globalization progresses, multilingualism has become increasingly valuable for international companies, and in some cases indispensable. Companies have to navigate a complex linguistic environment, interacting with customers, partners and employees who speak a wide range of languages. Despite the growing attention paid to multilingualism, little research has been carried out into how linguistic beliefs and perceptions influence multilingual practices within these companies. Understanding these beliefs is essential, as they shape communication strategies, influence employee integration and affect organizational performance. In international business, knowledge of multilingual practices strengthens cooperation with global partners, improves communication with cross-border customers and facilitates market penetration, offering competitive advantages. In sociolinguistics, research into multilingualism broadens our understanding of language use in professional contexts, revealing the complexity of multilingual and multicultural dynamics in the multilingual business world.
