cze Abstract:
The Bachelor's thesis reflects on the importance of hard skills for a social worker working in a home for the elderly in the relationship with the client. I first focus on the theoretical underpinnings defining hard skills and then describe the position of the social worker and the client in the retirement home both separately and in relationship. I then interpret the meaning of hard skills for the social worker in the relationship with the client-senior through data from in-depth semi-structured interviews with social workers working in homes for the elderly in the South Bohemia and Pilsen regions.
