The bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the influence of regulatory quali-ty and legal environment on the Ukrainian retail industry. The reference period focuses on the period of 2006-2015. The basic sample of the retail enterprises contains data from 4721 retail firms, and additional sample includes data from 2173 companies. As the indicators of institutions, selected Doing Business indices are employed. The thesis uses panel data regression analysis with fixed effects for identification and quantification. The results indicate that the influence of the in-dividual institutional indicators is ambiguous in the case of trading across borders regulations and taxation system. However statistically significant and positive effects are prevailing for the area of enforcing contracts regulations (judicial sys-tem) and ease of getting credit for the retail company. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení vlivu regulační kvality a právní-ho prostředí na ukrajinský maloobchod. Jako referenční období byly zvoleny roky 2006-2015. Základní vzorek maloobchodních podniků obsahuje údaje z 4721 ma-loobchodních firem a další vzorek obsahuje údaje z 2173 firem. Jako indikátory institucí jsou zvolené indexy Doing Business. Práce využívá regresní analýzy pane-lových dat s pevnými efekty pro identifikaci a kvantifikaci. Výsledky ukazují, že vliv jednotlivých institucionálních indikátorů je nejednoznačný v případě regulaci za-hraničního obchodu a daňového systému. Nicméně převažují statisticky významné a pozitivní účinky pro oblast udržitelnosti smluv (soudní systém), a snadnost zís-kaní úvěru pro maloobchodní společnost.
