Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu čínské přítomnosti v regionu Západního Balkánu. Tato přítomnost může z konkrétních důvodů představovat hrozbu jak pro budoucí evropskou integraci regionu, tak i pro samotné zkoumané státy. Práce podrobně analyzuje roli čínských půjček a investic ve státech regionu Západního Balkánu, díky nimž může být ohrožena jak suverenita zkoumaných zemí, tak i proces další evropské integrace. Rozšiřování čínského vlivu ve zkoumaném regionu může v určitých aspektech představovat i další hrozby pro zbytek evropského kontinentu, resp. Evropskou unii. Autorka práce nejprve vymezuje a přibližuje teorie důležité pro bližší pochopení dané problematiky. V empirické části je pak autorkou vyhodnocován vliv čínských půjček a investic v regionu Západního Balkánu, kdy jsou zároveň identifikovány související problémy a aspekty s tím spojené, jako například nízká úroveň demokracie, či vysoká míra korupce u zkoumaných států. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the Chinese presence in the Western Balkans region. For specific reasons, this may pose a threat both to the future European integration of the region and to the countries surveyed themselves. The work analyses in detail the role of Chinese loans and investment in the countries of the Western Balkans, which may jeopardize both the sovereignty of the countries studied and the process of further European integration. The expansion of Chinese influence in the region under study may, in certain respects, pose additional threats to the rest of the European continent, resp. European Union. The author first defines and approaches theories important for a closer understanding of the issue. In the empirical part, the author evaluates the impact of Chinese investment in the Western Balkans, which also identifies related issues and related aspects, such as low levels of democracy or high levels of corruption in the countries studied.
