Práce se věnuje dopadům pandemie koronaviru (COVID-19) na evropský automobilový průmysl na základě zejména registru nových vozidel, objemu produkce, exportu a importu a zaměřuje se na porovnávání zjištěných hodnot s dopady, které přinesla světová hospodářská krize v letech 2008-2010. Komparace dat ukazuje, že v případě hospodářské krize lze hovořit o postupném dlouhodobém klesajícím trendu, zatímco v případě krize pandemické vlivem plošných protipandemických opatření pozorujeme okamžité masivní propady, které přerušilo až postupné rozvolňování. Automobilový průmysl z práce vychází jako důležitá součást ekonomiky evropských zemí s potřebou větší digitalizace a robotizace do budoucna, jelikož se jedná o odvětví s největšími požadavky plynoucími z průmyslu 4.0. This thesis focuses on the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) on the European automotive industry, based on the new new vehicle registrations, production volume, export and import and focuses on comparing the discovered values with global economic crisis in 2008-2010. The data comparison shows that global economic crisis brought gradual long-term declines, meanwhile the current pandemic crisis due to precautionary measures indicates short-term impacts slowed mostly by loosening the restrictions. New vehicle registrations appear to be the most heavily affected area. The automotive industry emerges as an important part of the economy of most European countries with the need for greater digitisation and robotisation for the future, as it seems to be the sector with the highest demands arising from industry 4.0.
