[cze][eng] Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou tržní koncentrace auditorských trhů u subjektů veřejného zájmu (SVZ) se zaměřením na období 2017 až 2020 na Slovensku a v České republice. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, zda má auditorský trh na Slovensku oligopolní tržní strukturu, a následně zhodnotit, jaké jsou ekonomické důsledky této tržní struktury. Získaná zjištění naznačují, že slovenský auditorský trh u subjektů veřejného zájmu má oligopolní strukturu. Mezi auditorské lídry na trhu patří Velká čtyřka, přičemž nejvýznamnější postavení v rámci Velké čtyřky na slovenském trhu v letech 2017–2020 měly auditorské společnosti KPMG a PwC. Na základě výsledků z empirické části můžeme vidět dlouhodobější trend, a to, že auditorský trh na Slovensku je vysoce koncentrovaný. Míra koncentrace i dominantní postavení KPMG a PwC na Slovensku jsou srovnatelné se situací i v jiných členských státech Evropské unie, například s Českou republikou, Švédskem, Španělskem, Rakouskem či Německem. Tato Velká čtyřka má dominantní postavení na trhu, což by mohlo vést k ovlivnění její nezávislosti, výši odměn za audity i kvalitu auditu, proto se v práci také zabývám důsledky vysoké míry koncentrace a zda má tato vysoká koncentrace vliv na vývoj jednotlivých auditorských firem. Výsledky empirické části, zabývající se vývojem auditorských firem naznačují, že v minulých letech docházelo k fúzím na slovenském trhu, společnosti mají vysoké hodnoty ukazatelů rentability. A v poslední části je rozebrána struktura auditovaných subjektů veřejného zájmu v roce 2020. Všechna zjištění jsou komparována s Českou republikou.The diploma thesis deals with the issue of market concentration of audit markets in public interest entities (PIEs) with a focus on the period 2017 to 2020 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to determine whether the audit market in Slovakia has an oligopolistic market structure, and then evaluate what are the economic consequences of this market structure. The findings suggest that the Slovak audit market for public interest entities is highly concentrated. The auditing leaders on the market include the Big Four, with the auditing companies KPMG and PwC having the most important position within the Big Four on the Slovak market in 2017–2020. Based on the results from the empirical part, we can see a longer-term trend, namely that the audit market in Slovakia is highly concentrated. The degree of concentration and the dominant position of KPMG and PwC in Slovakia are comparable to the situation in other member states of the European Union, such as the Czech Republic, Sweden, Spain, Austria or Germany. This Big Four receives a high proportion of revenue that could affect its independence, the level of audit fees and audit quality, so I also deal with the consequences of a high degree of concentration and whether this high concentration has an impact on the development of individual audit firms. The results of the empirical part, dealing with the development of audit firms, suggest that mergers have occurred in the Slovak market in recent years, companies have high values of profitability indicators. And in the last part, the structure of audited public interest entities is analyzed in 2020. All findings are compared with the Czech Republic.
