Rod Phytophthora zahrnuje některé z nejnebezpečnějších rostlinných patogenů, které způsobují značné ekonomické i ekologické škody a ovlivňují spoustu rostlinných druhů napříč zemědělstvím, zahradnictvím, lesnictvím a přírodními ekosystémy. Tato práce s názvem „Molekulární podstata interakce mezi rostlinou a patogeny rodu Phytophthora“ charakterizuje odpověď na inokulaci Phytophthora infestans dvou rostlinných genotypů z rodu Solanum s kontrastní rezistencí k tomuto původci plísně. Oddělené listy náchylné rostliny (S. tuberosum, kultivar Keřkovský rohlíček) a odolné, kterou představoval planý druh bramboru (S. pinnatisectum), byly inokulovány izoláty Phytophthora a analyzovány. Omickými analýzami bylo nalezeno více než 4000 proteinů a 900 metabolitů, které byly různě abundantní. Srovnání genotypů ukázalo pouze malý překryv a odhalilo některé sloučeniny, které jsou pravděpodobně zodpovědné za rezistenci S. pinnatisectum, včetně akumulace inhibitoru cysteinové proteázy, enzymu metabolismu oxylipinu a metabolitů syntézy alkaloidů. The genus Phytophthora contains some of the most dangerous plant pathogens that cause significant economic and ecological damage, affecting a multitude of plant species across agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and natural ecosystems. This thesis entitled "Molecular bases of the interaction between plants and pathogens of the genus Phytophthora" characterizes the response to Phytophthora infestans inoculation in two Solanum genotypes with the contrasting resistance to this causative agent of the late blight disease. Detached leaves of the sensitive plant (S. tuberosum, cv. Keřkovský rohlíček) and resistant wild Solanum accession (S. pinnatisectum) were inoculated with Phytophthora and analyzed. Omics analyses identified more than 4000 and 900 differentially abundant proteins and metabolites, respectively. The comparison of genotypes showed only limited overlap and highlighted pathways that are likely responsible for promoted resistance in S. pinnatisectum, including the accumulation of cysteine protease inhibitor, an enzyme of oxylipin metabolism, and metabolites of alkaloid biosynthesis.
