Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, zda pomocí předosevní přípravy je možné zlepšit kvalitu osiva borovice lesní a smrku ztepilého. Bylo testováno máčení osiva ve vodě, studená stratifikace a metoda IDS. Metody byly aplikovány na dva oddíly osiva borovice lesní a dva oddíly osiva smrku ztepilého. U oddílů osiva byla zjišťována energie klíčení, počet klíčivých semen – klíčivost, a dále také počet mrtvých, svěžích a prázdných semen. Studenou stratifikací došlo k nejvyššímu zvýšení energie klíčení u osiva smrku ztepilého a u jednoho oddílu osiva borovice lesní. U druhého oddílu osiva borovice lesní se energie klíčení zvýšila nejvíce po separaci v rámci metody IDS. Klíčivost se zvýšila u osiva borovice lesní po separaci v rámci metody IDS. The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out whether it is possible to improve the quality of Scots pine seeds and Norway spruce seeds by means of pre-sowing treatment. Seed soaking in water, cold stratification and the IDS method were tested. The methods were applied to two seed lots of Scots pine seeds and two seed lots of Norway spruce seeds. The germination energy, the number of germinating seeds – germination rate, as well as the number of dead, fresh and empty seeds were determined for each seed lot. Cold stratification resulted in highest increase in germination energy in Norway spruce seeds and in one seed lot of Scots pine seeds. In the other seed lot of Scots pine seeds, the germination energy increased the most after separation within the IDS method. Germination rate increased in Scots pine seeds after separation within the IDS method.
