At present, the density of the transport network in Europe is constantly increasing. This causes irreplaceable loss of natural and unique habitats (i.e. forest habitats) and creates a fragmentation of the landscape, leading to isolated islands of wildlife populations. For this reason, mitigation measures are being developed that partially mitigate impacts on the landscape, ecosystems, and animals, such as green bridges (ecoducts). This study focuses on revealing and highlighting the efficiency and functionality of these special-purpose constructions. Eleven green bridges were examined, nine of them in Austria and two in the Czech Republic. In total, almost 40,000 animals crossed over all the examined green bridges during a 17–month monitoring period (2018–2020). V současnosti hustota dopravní sítě v Evropě stále roste. Způsobuje to nenahraditelnou ztrátu původních a unikátních biotopů, například lesních stanovišť. Krajinná fragmentace prostřednictvím liniové infrastruktury vytváří malé oddělené lokality populací divoké zvěře. Z tohoto důvodu jsou vytvářena zmírňující opatření, například zelené mosty, která částečně omezují negativní vliv na krajinu, ekosystémy a volně žijící živočichy včetně jejich přirozeného chování. Tato práce poukazuje a prověřuje efektivitu a funkčnost těchto speciálních účelových staveb. Bylo monitorováno a studováno jedenáct zelených mostů, devět na území Rakouska a dva v České republice. Během 17 měsíčního monitoringu (2018–2020) bylo prokázáno téměř 40 000 průchodů těmito objekty.
