Diplomová práce se věnuje analýze dopadů zdaňování tabákových výrobků na spotřebu v České republice. První část práce poskytuje ucelený teoretický přehled problematiky spotřebních daní z tabákových výrobků. Praktická část práce pak nabízí zpracované regresní a korelační analýzy prováděné ve statistickém softwaru Gretl. Prostřednictvím analýz byl zjištěn negativní vztah mezi spotřebou a váženou cenou cigaret i spotřebou a nepřímou daní z cigaret. Pozitivní vztah byl naopak potvrzen mezi váženou cenou cigaret a spotřební daní či daní z přidané hodnoty. V poslední části práce bylo zjištěno, že stejné procentní zvýšení daně se projevuje více na změnách cen cigaret levnějších než dražších. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the impacts of taxation of tobacco products on consumption in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis provides a comprehensive theoretical overview of the matters of excise duties on tobacco products. The practical part of the work then offers processed regression and correlation analyzes performed in the statistical software Gretl. Through analyzes, a negative relationship was found between consumption and the weighted price of cigarettes as well as consumption and indirect taxes on cigarettes. On the contrary, a positive relationship was confirmed between the weighted price of cigarettes and excise duty or value-added tax. In the last part of the thesis, it was found out that the same percentage increase in the tax is reflected more in changes in the prices of cigarettes cheaper than more expensive.
