[cze][eng] Ostropestřec mariánský, Silybum marianum (L). Gaertn., patří k nejvíce pěstovaným léčivým rostlinám v Česku i na Slovensku (Situační a výhledová zpráva, 2018). Lékopisnou drogu tvoří zralý plod zbavený chmýru. Plodem jsou nažky, ze kterých se získává komplex biologicky aktivních látek - silymarin (Český lékopis, 2017). Poptávka po ostropestřeci mariánském se v současnosti stále zvyšuje. Největším odběratelem je farmaceutický průmysl, roste zájem i o zpracování do výživových doplňků, krmiv a kosmetiky. Žádaný je také olej z ostropestřce, který vzniká jako vedlejší produkt při získávání silymarínového komplexu. Produkční potenciál má však i biomasa ostropestřce. Ta poskytuje další možnosti využití ostropestřce (Andrzejewski et al., 2015). V literární rešerši byly uvedeny odrůdy ostropestřce mariánského, jejich právní ochrana a současný stav pěstování ostropestřce mariánského v Česku a na Slovensku. V diplomové práci byla dále popsána technologie pěstování, obsahové látky, choroby a škůdci ostropestřce. V práci byly shrnuty vědecké poznatky o léčebných účincích silymarinu, metody stanovení obsahových látek a požadavky na kvalitu drogy. Z důvodu epidemiologické situace nebylo možné podílet se na pěstování a sklizni ostropestřce. Silymarínový komplex a olejnatost byly z tohoto důvodu stanoveny z různých komerčně dostupných vzorků ostropestřce mariánského.Milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn.) is one of the most cultivated medicinal plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Situační a výhledová zpráva, 2018). The pharmacological drug consists of ripe fruit without pappus. The fruit is achene, from which a complex of biologically active compounds – silymarin is obtained (Český lékopis, 2017). The demand for milk thistle is currently increasing. The pharmaceutical industry consumes the most of milk thistle production, there is also growing interest in processing milk thistle into nutritional supplements, feed and cosmetics. There is also considerable demand for milk thistle oil, a by-product of silymarin production. Milk thistle biomass also proves its potencial in production. This provides other possibilities for the use of milk thistle (Andrzejewska et al., 2015). The literature search lists milk thistle varieties, their legal protection and the current state of cultivation of milk thistle in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The thesis describes milk thistle cultivation technology, phytochemistry, diseases and pests. The work summarizes scientific knowledge about therapeutic effects of silymarin, method for determining the content of substances and requirements for the quality of the drug. Due to the epidemiological situation, it was not possible to participate in the cultivation and harvesting of milk thistle. The silymarin complex and the oil content were therefore determined from various commercially available samples of milk thistle.
