The object of this diploma thesis is the analysis of foreign trade with fuelwood between Member States of the European Union from 2008 to 2013. The analysis was aimed on finding and evaluation of import, export and trade balance of fuelwood. Consequently, results were commented and evaluated in the context of the RES strategies (National action plans). As a starting point of the thesis was set hypothesis: The EU Member States do not use in implementing the mandatory terms of the share of renewable energy sources only their biomass potential. The result and the trend of the trade balance are affected by the binding indicators. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou zahraničního obchodu s palivovým dřívím mezi členskými státy EU v období 2008 až 2013. Analýza byla zaměřena na zjištění a vyhodnocení dovozu, vývozu a obchodní bilance palivového dříví. Výsledky byly následně komentovány a vyhodnoceny v kontextu strategií OZE (Národních akčních plánů). Jako výchozí bod práce byla stanovena hypotéza: Členské státy EU v rámci naplňování závazných ukazatelů podílu OZE nevyužívají pouze svůj potenciál biomasy. Výsledek a trend obchodní bilance je ovlivněn závaznými ukazateli.
