Alzheimerova choroba představuje vážné neurodegenerativní onemocnění, které postihuje stárnoucí populaci po celém světě. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na Alzheimerovu chorobu a s ní spojenou geriatrickou ošetřovatelkou péči. Geriatrická ošetřovatelská péče představuje klíčový aspekt v péči o seniory trpící touto nemocí, neboť senioři mají specifické potřeby a vyžadují individuální přístup. Je nezbytné mít na paměti specifické potřeby seniorů a přistupovat k nim individuálně, aby bylo dosaženo co nejlepšího zdravotního a sociálního výsledku. Komplexní a multidisciplinární přístup spolu s podporou rodinných příslušníků je nezbytným prvkem efektivní péče o pacienty s touto těžkou nemocí. Cílem práce je zmapovat specifika ošetřovatelské péče o klienty s Alzheimerovou chorobou v zařízení sociálních služeb. Dále byl zkoumán přístup všeobecných sester k informování rodin klientů s AD a také způsob, jak všeobecné sestry realizují edukaci těchto rodin. Cíle bylo dosaženo pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu, jehož součástí byly rozhovory se všeobecnými sestrami. Výzkum byl prováděn v domovech pro seniory a v domovech se zvláštním režimem v Českých Budějovicích. Výsledky budou sloužit jako výukový materiál pro studenty nelékařských zdravotnických oborů a pro všeobecné sestry. Alzheimer's disease is a serious neurodegenerative condition that affects the aging population worldwide. This bachelor thesis focuses on Alzheimer's disease and its associated geriatric nursing care. Geriatric nursing care is a crucial aspect of caring for seniors suffering from this disease, as they have specific needs and require an individualized approach. It is essential to consider the specific needs of seniors and to approach them individually to achieve the best health and social outcomes. A comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, along with the support of family members, is essential for effective care of patients with this serious illness. The aim of this thesis is to explore the specifics of nursing care for clients with Alzheimer's disease in social service facilities. Additionally, the approach of general nurses to informing families of clients with Alzheimer's disease was examined, as well as how these nurses educate the families. The objectives were achieved through qualitative research, which included interviews with general nurses. The research was conducted in homes for the elderly and in special care homes in České Budějovice. The results will be used as teaching material for students of non-medical health disciplines and for general nurses.
