Bakalářská práce se zabývá pracovním dnem sestry. Sesterská profese je velmi rozmanitá a psychicky i fyzicky náročná. Existuje mnoho podmínek, které musí sestry splňovat a vlastností, kterými by měly disponovat k tomu, aby mohly být kvalitními sestrami. Protože jsou na sestry kladeny čím dál tím větší nároky, jejich kompetence se rozvíjejí a jejich povolání se postupně mění. Cílem bylo zjistit, jak pracovní den sester vypadá. Teoretická část této práce popisuje, co pracovní den sester obnáší a pomáhá laikům získat základní vědomosti o tomto povolání. V empirické části je použito kvalitativní výzkumné šetření, které je zpracováno metodou nezúčastněného pozorování na vybraných odděleních. Výzkumný soubor tvoří dvě všeobecné sestry pracující na standardním chirurgickém oddělení a dvě všeobecné sestry pracující na standardním traumatologickém oddělení. Výsledky výzkumného šetření popisují, jak pracovní den sester ve skutečnosti vypadá. Dále bylo zjištěno, v čem se pracovní den sester pracujících na standardním oddělení traumatologie liší od pracovního dne sester pracujících na standardním oddělení chirurgie. Bakalářská práce může sloužit laikům pro přiblížení, jak pracovní den sester probíhá a co vše obnáší. Také by tato práce měla poukázat o jak náročné a rozmanité povolání se ve skutečnosti jedná. Práce může dále sloužit pro studenty zdravotnických nelékařských oborů jako zdroj informací a také managementu pro vyhodnocení práce sester. The bachelor thesis deals with the working day of a nurse. The nursing profession is very diverse and mentally and physically demanding. There are many conditions that nurses must meet and qualities that they should possess to be a quality nurse. As more and more demands are placed on nurses, their competencies are developing and their profession is gradually changing. The aim was to find out what a nurse's working day looks like. The theoretical part of this paper describes what a nurse's working day entails and helps the layperson to gain basic knowledge about the profession. In the empirical part, a qualitative research inquiry is used, which is done through the method of non-participant observation in selected wards. The research sample consists of two general nurses working in a standard surgical ward and two general nurses working in a standard trauma ward. The results of the research investigation describe what a nurse's working day actually looks like. It was also found out how the working day of nurses working in a standard trauma ward differs from the working day of nurses working in a standard surgery ward. The bachelor's thesis can be used to give the layman an idea of how a nurse's working day works and what it entails. Also, this thesis should highlight how demanding the profession really is. The thesis can also serve as a source of information for students of non-medical disciplines as well as management to evaluate the work of nurses.
